All right, you have a human emt and a jaguar shifter emt in an ambulance. A pair of docs? It gets more complicated when the 30 or so year old daughter of the 20 year year human emt comes back sorceessly from the future. That creates a timeline paradox that the daughter has been trying to fix since her teen age self matured into an alternate time stream. Add in familiar characters and flavors, as well as my favorite restaurateur and zombie cook, you have a recipe for a new book adventure.

Just finished reading this. The only problem is that I just finished reading this. CURSE YOU JAMIE DAVIS!! Now I want another one. I mean now. Right now. Best paranormal paramedics. Best paranormal characters. Best characters. Just all around good writing. I place Jamie Davis in my top tier of authors. I’ve yet to not enjoy rereading his books on the tenth go round. You can’t ask more than that.

Although each book has backstory to stand alone, reading them in sequence gives a better storyline. I recommend the series to those that want a read without excessive or inappropriate foul language, a steady flow and enough action to keep your interest in the story.
You won’t be disappointed, and the price of each book is reasonable. Not like some who gouge the reader after becoming more well known.

I am going to be contrary and say that I didn’t like how this series finished. I felt really short changed with the ending. It was almost anticlimactic and whilst it fulfilled all the plot twists and tied up all loose ends I was struggling to find the comfort in the ending. It was almost as if the medical was lost in this book almost completely to the social which was a hard read. I loved the original changes and medical ideas of the first few books which dragged me in massively. These later books have been a struggle and predictable at times making it slow and frustrating read. I love the characters, the premise and the mix of supernatural and human which is why it has continued to score high but really only the first books will ever be rereads for me sadly.

Is this the end of the paramedic series ? I think not.
I usually don't like time travel plots , it gives the author to many outs for dead ends.
But I also like a plot when the end is not foreseen by the reader and this series as a whole and this book itself certainty does not give anything away.
So I congratulate the author on his work.

Like most series I read, I don't want them to End. I particularly liked the Human's Positive interaction with other Species and what happens if, wether through arrogance or fear they fight. Despite being ' Fictitious' I learn a lot from these stories. Another great series recommended to all.
