About Patricia Bumpass
Pat Bumpass is an avid reader of romance and mystery/thriller novels and an avid journaler. She writes non-fiction and romantic fiction. Pat has won NANOWRIMO six out of eight years. She also creates motivational and inspirational card decks - bite-sized snippets of information that encourage people to express gratitude and become the best version of themselves they can possibly be. She loves coffee hot or iced and she enjoys spending time with her son who has special needs. Pat believes women are the superheroes of the world. As a caregiver, Pat realized that she was taking care of everybody except herself. This realization led her to encourage and empower women to love themselves through self-care.

The Community Book Project: Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude People from all walks of life join together in this thought-of-the-day collection of essays. This book brims with appreciation without crossing the line to sappy or too “woo-woo.” Instead you will find evidence that harnessing the power of gratitude can be a life-changing force. Inside are stories about the things, people, circumstances, and events the contributors that bring gratitude to everyday life.
These “gratitude-in-real-life” stories are about more than the polite "thank yous" we casually exchange every day. They're testimonials to the people and things we often take for granted. Join us in this growing movement of people from around the world who have committed to asking themselves this simple yet profound question every day of the week--what am I grateful for? Lead editor Donna Kozik is a USA TODAY and WALL STREET JOURNAL bestselling author.

Editor's Note: Ten years ago we were ten years removed from 9-11 and my Done for You Book Publishing company was looking for a way to give my subscribers a way to mark the occasion. We produced “The Gratitude Book Project: A Celebration of Personal Heroes.” It marked a milestone since that September day no one will forget--one of time and distance and, for most, healing. Now it’s ten years after that. I wanted to revisit the theme of personal heroes once again and feel that although the time and distance from 9-11 has helped more with that healing, other things have caused more strife and tears in the fabric of our country and the world. It seems like it’s time once again not to look at those who bring us down and tell them what’s wrong, but instead focus on those who lift us up, no matter the circumstances, and help us see what’s right.
It’s time to put the attention--and the praise--on our personal heroes.
This inspirational thought-of-the-day book brings together a community of contributors who wrote brief yet compelling essays about the little things that uplift them and make life more fun and interesting.
They talk about the books that they held dear in childhood, the gardens that bring them peace and tranquility and the pets that they snuggle for comfort. There are also tales of travel and dancing in the rain, plus stories around the campfire and even a recipe for everyone’s favorite comfort food: chicken soup!
The Community Book Project: Celebrating the Little Things in Life gives a nod to those people, places and memories that bring a smile even during tough times.
Join us in escaping from everyday troubles, even for a brief time, and celebrate the little things that make life good!
