About Paul B. Skousen
Paul B. Skousen is an author and instructor on the United States Constitution. He received his undergraduate from BYU in Journalism and his Master's degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University.
After graduate school Paul worked for President Ronald Reagan in the White House Situation Room. In addition, Paul was an intelligence officer for the CIA. He received national notoriety when he preserved a large bag of shredded top secret documents, the so-called "smoking gun" from the Iran-Contra Affair, that he sold piecemeal as "shredded secrets from the White House." Paul Harvey and other media outlets covered the unusual story.
Paul has extensive experience interviewing political and military leaders in Egypt, Israel and Jordan, including the former prime minister of Jordan, the political advisor to Egypt's President Mubarak, and senior generals in the Israeli military.
Paul is the author of seven books including How to Read the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, the Bassam Adventure Series and The Naked Socialist. He has revised and edited several of his father's books including Fantastic Victory, The Cleansing of America, The Five Thousand Year Leap Glenn Beck Edition, and The Majesty of God's Law. He is currently writing the Biography of W. Cleon Skousen, among other projects, and is a frequent speaker and motivational instructor.
Additionally, Paul has been a columnist for The Daily Caller, and currently teaches communications and journalism at Utah Valley University.

Soon after its quiet release during the height of the Red Scare in 1958, The Naked Communist: Exposing Communism and Restoring Freedom exploded in popularity, selling almost two million copies to date and finding its way into the libraries of the CIA, the FBI, the White House, and homes all across the United States. From the tragic falls of China, Korea, Russia, and the UN, to the fascinating histories of Alger Hiss, Whittaker Chambers, Elizabeth Bentley, and General MacArthur, The Naked Communist lays out the entire graphic story of communism, its past, present, and future.
After searching unsuccessfully for a concise literature on the communist threat, W. Cleon Skousen saw the urgent need for a comprehensive book to guide the American conversation. So he distilled his FBI experience, decades of research, and more than one hundred communist books and treatises into one clarifying, readable volume that became a touchstone of American values and earned praise from the likes of President Ronald Reagan, Glenn Beck, and Ben Carson. Lauded by one reviewer as "the most powerful book on communism since J. Edgar Hoover's Masters of Deceit," this text draws a detailed picture of the communist as he sees himself: stripped of propaganda and pretense. Readers gain a unique insight into the inner workings of communism--its appeal, history, primary and unchanging concepts, and even its secret timetable of conquest.
Among the many questions The Naked Communist answers are:
★ Who gave the United States' nuclear secrets to the Russians?
★ How did the FBI fight communism after it was forced underground in 1918?
★ Why did the West lose 600 million allies after World War II?
★ What really happened in Korea?
★ What is communism's great secret weapon?
★ What lies ahead?
★ What can I do to stop communism?
★ How can we fight communism without a major war?
Recently updated, this edition includes a chapter on the forty-five Communist Goals, detailing how forty-four of those goals have been achieved in the U.S. already, as well as a chapter on the making of The Naked Communist, shedding light on how this book has sold almost two million copies. As relevant now as it was over sixty years ago, Skousen's groundbreaking work provides a renewed understanding of one of the greatest threats facing America today.
Learn how they impact your life; your rights and freedoms? How the branches of government were formed, and why?
You’re not alone. Millions of Americans want a deeper understanding of their country’s founding principles and don’t know where to start. When the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were written by our founders over two centuries ago, they were designed to endure. And indeed they’ve remained, as Paul Skousen writes, “the most amazing freedom formula ever invented”—but navigating eighteenth-century legal language can be challenging.
Recognizing this problem, Skousen provides an easy, step-by-step guide that will forever change the way you think about your country and your freedoms. Using visual tools, exercises, and several valuable memory aids, this book will help you:
• Master the Constitution’s seven articles and the twenty-seven important rights named in the Bill of Rights.
• Navigate the Declaration’s five power statements on freedom and unlock their eighteenth-century phrases with a convenient glossary.
• Discover how the Constitution’s guiding principles protect human rights.
• And so much more.
Thousands of books describe the origins of these famous documents, but only How to Read the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence gives you a path to truly understanding them.
The Naked Socialist strips away the fakery, the false hopes, the hollow dreams, and the meaningless promises that socialists have foisted on countless millions---not just for the present, but over thousands of years.
With clear, brief, and step-by-step examples and anecdotes, the author explains what socialism is, where it came from, how it works, how to recognize it, and why it always destroys its host nation.
You will learn that the Seven Pillars of Socialism are not at all new, but a phenomenon that first appeared more than 6,000 years ago---and why socialism managed to mushroom in nations and cultures right up into today’s current events.
The Naked Socialist is divided into five parts: 1) Gaining an understanding of what socialism is, 2) How it has appeared in human history, 3) The miracle that stopped socialism, 4) The corruption of that miracle, and, 5) The steps to return that miracle to America and the rest of the world today.
Included throughout the book are several questions to teach, test and emphasize important points so that students of freedom may see where this nation needs to move to regain its lost liberties.
The Naked Socialist fulfills an urgent need to answer such questions as,
• How much of the U.S. Constitution has been replaced with socialism?
• What is socialism, and why does it eventually ruin everything it touches?
• How did the Founding Fathers specifically make socialism illegal?
• How did socialism destroy Rome, the ancient Inca, Jamestown, and Plymouth? Are these same patterns of demise at work today?
• Which U.S. presidents socialized America, and what steps did they take to do it? Are these reversible?
• How is socialism hurting other nations around the globe?
• What are the best examples of socialism in action today?
• What are the Seven Pillars of Socialism?
• How can people learn to recognize socialism in their midst, or, learn if they're thinking like a socialist?
• What are the 46 goals of socialism?
• What will it take to eradicate socialism once and for all?
The study of freedom breathes hope and encouragement into all things---it sheds light into the dark corners of deception and conspiracy, showing that truth is the only authentic “transparency.” Once socialism is stripped naked, those badly needed answers to restore freedom will materialize for everyone’s benefit. Find those answers, plus hope and courage, in the pages of The Naked Socialist.
This book has been called “the most powerful book on communism since J. Edgar Hoover’s ‘Masters of Deceit’.” In one clarifying and readable volume, the whole incredible story of communism is graphically told. It includes the tragic story of China, Korea, Russia, the UN, Alger Hiss, Whittaker Chambers, Elizabeth Bentley, General MacArthur, and others.
In 1961, Skousen added the 45 goals of communism. Today, all but one of those goals is fulfilled.
Among the many questions it answers are:
• Who gave America’s nuclear secrets to the Russians?
• How did the FBI fight the battle of the underground?
• Why did the West lose 600 million allies after World War II?
• What really happened in Korea?
• What is communism’s great secret weapon?
• Is there an answer to communism?
• What lies ahead?
• What can I do to stop communism?
But the most important question of all that this book answers is how to stop communism and how to do it without a major war. National broadcaster Paul Harvey at CBS said, “I have never given any volume such an unqualified endorsement.”

“Prophecy is not poetry. It is history in reverse.”—W. Cleon Skousen
Have you ever wondered what the ancient prophets had to say about the modern world? How to apply the messages of the scriptures to your own life? What the true purpose of prophecy is? Find these answers and more in Prophecy and Modern Times: Finding Hope and Encouragement in the Last Days, a brief but powerful exploration of six millennia worth of prophecies about society today.
The prophets of Biblical times foresaw many of the complexities of the modern era with remarkable accuracy—conflicts in the Middle East and America, the rise of enormous economic and military powers, and the stealthy corruption of nations and personal lives. Throughout history, prophecies have been “fulfilled literally,” as Skousen writes, shedding important light on how God communicates and how to interpret His messages in today’s world. Through years of careful research and with a reporter’s dedication to the truth, Skousen beautifully distills these many ancient warnings and promises into one clear, fascinating volume, providing a deeper understanding of the scriptures for a new generation.
Ezra Taft Benson, thirteenth President of the LDS Church, wrote in the foreword, “Every person interested in present and future events in this war-torn world will profit from a careful perusal of these pages.” Indeed, hundreds of thousands of readers over the past seventy years, including some of the country’s greatest religious and political minds, have turned to this book for insight and encouragement in these troubled times.
Praise for Prophecy and Modern Times:
“Valuable and worthwhile contribution to religious literature!”—Ezra Taft Benson, thirteenth President of the LDS Church
“This release of Prophecy and Modern Times is timely, not only in its relevant content but also in the message it brings to the table. Skousen reveals his brilliance in his organization of such a monumentally complicated task. He suggests how to interpret prophecy, tells us its purpose and our responsibility to understand it. Skousen is masterful!”—Gary D. Goodwin, Association for Mormon Letters
America is a nation unique in the world, a government born under the radical idea of working for the people--not just for a powerful few. Our blueprint? The U.S. Constitution, a brilliant framework of common-sense rules necessary for self-governance. It works no matter which political party is in power.
But for more than 150 years, the moral code upon which the Constitution was built has suffered neglect and decay. Millions of Americans have watched this unraveling and longed for a way to stop it. Now that way is here. Follow bestselling authors Paul B. Skousen and Cleon W. Skousen (The Naked Communist) as they guide you through the Constitution, the ways in which its core tenets are faltering, and the direct path necessary to restore them. Along the way, you'll find review questions and memory tricks to familiarize yourself with the crucial pillars of the American republic, such as the Framers' 28 great ideas for true liberty, the role of personal responsibility, and the basics of "People's Law."
How to Save the Constitution is for those who know the United States is in trouble and want to help before it's too late. Saving our Constitution is the greatest gift this generation could possibly give to the next. Let's get started!
The Psalmist described the supreme excellence of God's law when he said:
"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the ear: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes." (Psalms 19:7-8)
The entire code of God's law is carefully enunciated in five chapters of this book. Under this judicial system there are only about a hundred statutes required to govern a community, a state, a nation or the world if these guidelines are in the hands of wise and virtuous judges.
In order to make this system work, the people must be taught the law and then they must enter into a solemn covenant to honor and sustain its precepts.
When Moses gave this law to the ancient Israelites he said it could make them the most peaceful, prosperous and powerful people in the world. However it was revealed to Moses that the people of that age would violate its precepts. He then learned that it would not be until the latter days that this law would be lived the way it was originally designed.
The American Founding Fathers picked up on that promise because it appeared to them that it would be in this choice land where this great promise would one day be fulfilled.
Nevertheless, they recognized that the Constitution was the indispensable foundation for such an inspired system of prosperity, justice and peace. When they saw the Constitution would gradually unravel, they knew that this charter of liberty would have to be restored to all its pristine power by some future generation. And they knew this would have to occur before God's law could be inaugurated.
Someday, God's law is coming to America. It could come rapidly after a period of cleansing and reform -- even in our day. And since Moses said it would eventually transpire, there needs to be a generation of Americans trained and motivated to put it into effect. Dr. Skousen has prepared this present study in hopes it might be of assistance.

In an era when Christmas has become little more than a frenzy of exhausting and expensive consumerism, many Christians are searching for a way to reclaim the deeper meaning of the celebration for their children and family. New York Times best-selling author W. Cleon Skousen’s The Real Story of Christmas reconnects the reader with what Christmas is supposed to be: peace, goodwill, and the story of Jesus Christ.
Skousen provides historical context and a clear explanation of the events, the places, and the people involved in the birth of Jesus—Mary and Joseph, Zacharias and Elizabeth, Simeon and Anna, the three wise men, and the Roman occupying army. Those seeking the Christ Child, for both good and evil, are brought to life with historical context and description. It’s the real story of Christmas, the one that has lived for 2,000 years to change the hearts of billions toward fostering true peace on earth and good will toward men.
At the end of the book are the verses from Luke 2 that give the original biblical account of Jesus’s birth, a perfect passage for family reading on Christmas Eve.
The Real Story of Christmas begins in a humble little village, long besieged by warriors, with little hope of escape—until one night in early spring when there was born a babe in a manger whose life and mission would literally change everything.
