Great film with excellent performances by the leads! The direction and overall production value of this film did a great job keeping me engaged with the story, and the twist at the end definitely made the viewing worthwhile. I highly recommend this movie for not only fans of thrillers, but just fans of great indie cinema. I look forward to seeing what these filmmakers do next!

4.0 out of 5 starsThe Ending Brought This One Up from a low 3 to a 4.

As many reviewers stated, I found this movie droll and boring at first, but I kept with it and was glad I did. This is psychological suspense and at first, between this film dragging on for at least 30 minutes or slightly more
and wondering if this was going anywhere; It also made little sense until I figured out it was psychological. I thought of quitting and I am glad I did not do that. Quite a puzzle and my brains were twisted inside and out for a while. Then it clicked what was really happening and I wanted the finish that I got. Justice I love. I wish this happened in real life. Good movie , but I would not watch it a 2nd time.

2.0 out of 5 starsPossible Razzie/Sharknado actor roster

I wanted this to be good, but the acting was so awkward and plain bad, that I had to fast forward, then go back to get through it. I expected more from Eric Roberts and hoped for more from Nick Bateman, who is gorgeous. Their lines were insincerely acted with too quick and anxious movements. This reminds me of a student film or a Razzie Winner. The acting effected the suspense in a negative way...it had a satisfactory ending and I hope the actors and film crew were paid enough to pay their bills. That's all.

5.0 out of 5 starsBrilliant! The Perception

Jon Edwin Wright (Richard) is not only a handsome man, he is a great actor. The Perception encompasses three genres: Drama, Suspense; Horror. The movie steps away from the 'same song, second verse' plot often seen in movies that stumble & fail at being unique. I was riveted to the screen, tensing as Richard's mood continued to build and move in different directions. No hints are given as to what happens next, so you wander with the characters around each twist & turn... wondering who or what could be the cause of the terrorizing visions drifting through Richard's mind. Is he imagining that danger is lurking just beyond his reach, or is the danger real? Shh... I am sworn to secrecy... You will have to watch The Perception & see for yourself. Might want to leave the lights on!

4.0 out of 5 starsOkay movie

I had no idea who was 'dead' that the wife supposedly killed and all the writer had were fuzzy drug induced blurry images of everything which made understanding more difficult. The answers are pretty much like any murder mystery - at the end.
I thought the acting was good but all along knew something was up with the wife and how did Richard the writer know exactly who to hire to seduce her? How long had that been going on? Not a few simple weeks surely.
So left a bit confused but it was ok.

2.0 out of 5 starsTerrible acting, too many holes in the story
Verified purchase
The acting is bad, it sounds like everyone is just reading lines. The story could make a good thriller spoof, but it isn't good enough to take seriously. It seems the writer took elements from other suspense movies and just threw them into a bag and shook. Too many problems with this storyline to list, but it did at least keep me watching to see where it would go - gotta give it a couple stars for that.

1.0 out of 5 starsWife can't act
Verified purchase
Who decided it would be a good idea to cast this lady as the wife? She can't act her way out of a paper bag. Her voice is annoying, and she sounds like she's reading from a script at an audition when she says her lines. I'm about 55 minutes into the movie, and so far it's nothing special. I'm waiting for it to end.

Really don't get the point, I didn't make it further than halfway if that. It keeps repeating the same scene over and over and you don't really know what's going on at that point. Also main character is not a good actor, you can tell he's acting. Also main characters "wife" role not a good actress either. Dumb, don't waste your time.
