Editorial Reviews

Review

"Editors will want this book. Teachers will want this book. Writers will want this book. If you work with words in any capacity, you’ll benefit from having this book on your reference shelf."
— Karen S. Conlin, Grammargeddon.com

"You don’t have to be a word nerd to like The Perfect English Grammar Workbook. You simply need to want to be a better writer or communicator. In an easy-to-understand way, Lisa McLendon’s book explains and demystifies grammar’s rules. Her explanations, examples and exercises are aimed at creating winning writers and clear writing."
—Sue Burzynski Bullard, Associate Professor, College of Journalism and Mass Communications, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, author of Everybody's an Editor

The Perfect English Grammar Workbook is diabolically simple on topics that, in other hands, might just be diabolical. It's entertaining as well, with examples people will actually use.”
—Merrill Perlman, adjunct assistant professor at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, former copy editor at The New York Times

"Lisa McLendon takes the scary out of grammar with her Perfect English Grammar Workbook. Even the most intimidated reader will find this book easy-to-follow with its clear explanations, advice, examples and quizzes. Finally, a grammar book for adults that isn't boorish or condescending.”
—Teresa Schmedding, President, American Copy Editors Society
