About Peter Alan Turner
Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream became a reality with the publication of my first book, "Da Nang Damned". This book had been buzzing around in my head for nearly 50 years! By drawing on my own Vietnam, experience, and years spent living in Northern New England, will hopefully, make this book seem alive, authentic and a great read.
A few years ago, I ventured into the world of Western Fiction. I am honored to have a great team: Dusty Saddles Publishing, Nick Wale - Publicist, and Katrina Turner - Social Media Guru. Currently, I have several Western Series on Amazon: Chet Henderson: Texas Ranger Adventure Series, Bear Willis: Mountain Man Series, and Willie McGee: Mountain Man Series. Along with a co-write with my granddaughter. In creating my Westerns, I wanted to do three things, be authentic, create likable characters, and tell a good story. With a lot of hard work and prayer, my books have been well received, so, I must be doing something right.
I live with my wife of fifty-three years and our cat Moxie on Rattlesnake Ridge, Maryland. We are lucky that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandson all live close by. When I'm not writing, I enjoy woodcarving, fishing, and pampering my classic Jaguar. I donate a portion of the profits from my books to Veteran’s charities, including the Veteran’s Independence Project.

A second collaboration between Casey Nash and Peter Alan Turner bringing together two of their most exciting characters—this is Jubal Stone: U.S. Marshal and Bear Willis: Mountain Man working together to stay alive for a new adventure!
Rufus Terrell and his four sons were a special breed of men. They were vile and vicious, animal-like many would say. They enjoyed bringing misery to others and were always looking for their next victims.
Marshal Jubal Stone had already had one very unpleasant run-in with them when he and his deputies arrested the clan for killing a family of settlers a few months back. That day, the Terrells didn’t come without a fight, a two-hour gunfight. Unfortunately, instead of being sentenced to a rope, they were cut loose by a liberal judge in Austin.
They got off scot-free once, but they’ll not escape justice twice.
When the Terrells ride into Waco on a vengeance mission and take three women hostage, Jubal and his two-man posse are forced to track them into the badlands. He calls on mountain man and friend Bear Willis to help him.
Get ready to ride hard and prepare for war. There will blood in the Texas badlands.

A brand new collaboration between Casey Nash and Peter Alan Turner bringing together two of their most exciting characters—this is Jubal Stone: U.S. Marshal and Bear Willis: Mountain Man working together to stay alive!
He wasn’t there when they rode into his town, kidnapped one of his deputies, and pumped a slug into Judge Leon Brewster, leaving him for dead. But just as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, these murderers for hire will soon feel the fury of Marshal Jubal Stone’s .44 Colt, and he won’t be traveling alone.
Mountain man Bear Willis joins the Texas marshal to track down and bring to justice the culprit responsible for the shootings in Waco and other towns west of there, even though they have to travel all the way to Mexico to do it.
There will blood. Count on it, for Jubal Stone and Bear Willis are not men to abide lawlessness, and if you happen to harm one of their friends or family members, you best have a burial plot already reserved.

The seventh Mountain man adventure in a rip-roaring series from Peter Alan Turner!
After the battle with Colonel Watkins and his band of gold seekers, Bear Willis finally fulfilled his promise to himself. With his new wife, Waity, friend Josh, and a great Irish Wolf Hound, they were heading South to El Paso, Texas.
However, the party was only one day on the trail when a rider appeared with an urgent message. Eric Willis, Bear's beloved six-foot-nine-inch grandfather. The one known as 'The Viking' was dead!
Eric's Paiute wife, Many Stars, sent the letter. She told how Eric was killed when he rushed into a collapsed mine to rescue the workers. Using his immense strength, the giant lifted a support beam, and the men escaped. But, sadly, even Eric's powerful muscles were no match for the mountain, and the 'The Viking’ was buried under tons of rock and debris.
Many Stars wrote that Eric's land has been taken by a ruthless rancher named Seth Rankin. According to the rancher, Eric owed him money and put up his land as collateral. As a result, Many Stars, unfamiliar with white man's ways, was forced off the propeerty.
Bear, seething with grief and rage, rushes back to help Many Stars. The mountain man soon finds himself battling not only a powerful rancher and his gunslicks but also a double-dealing sheriff for control of the land. Bear Willis will have to rely on his strength and wit and his fierce Irish Wolf Hound as they fight to return the land to Many Stars and solve the riddle of Crooked Mountain Gold.
Mountain Men Caleb Johnson and Bear Willis find themselves in the deadliest adventure of their lives. Ruthless speculators and hordes of fortune seekers are rushing to Colorado in the hopes of getting rich. These speculators have no regard for treaties or boundaries as they chase after gold and silver.
By chance, Bear and his son, Jamie, meet Caleb on the trail. Bear and Jamie are tracking down kidnapped Ute Indian girls. While Caleb and his wife, Flora, are heading to Leadville, Beaver and Jamie rescue the girls and return them to the Ute village. The Ute are thrilled at having their children back home. However, their joy is short-lived when they learn that white men are raping their land and killing their people in their quest for gold and silver.
Mortimer Latimer, a sleazy wheeler-dealer, has scored the biggest deal of his career, convincing wealthy businessmen to invest in his mining venture. Latimer has hired gun-slick Brett Rawlings and his band of cutthroats to protect his mineral rights at any cost. Bullets fly and knives flash as Bear and Caleb battle Rawlings and struggle to prevent an all-out war between the Ute and the settlers.

Mountain Man Bear Willis thought the wagon train he rescued from a Cheyenne war party were simply homesteaders looking to settle in the Montana Bitterroot Territory. He wasn't happy about pilgrims moving into the valley but realized there wasn't much he could do about it.
However, when he discovers their real reason for choosing the Bitterroot, all hell breaks out. The big mountain man is used to settling things with a gun, knife, and tomahawk. However, things get complicated when Bear finds himself attracted to a pretty woman whose husband abuses her. As events reach a boiling point, Bear has to decide which side he is on.
