The first episode of Phat Tuesdays tells the story of how Black comedians were shut out of “white” comedy clubs in the 90s, and how they found venues in South LA where Martin Lawrence, D.L. Hughley and Robin Harris showcased their talents. After the LA riots, comedian Guy Torry launched Phat Tuesdays, an all-black comedy night at the world-famous Comedy Store.

Very Enjoyable!
This was a very enjoyable and informative production. I never knew Phat Tuesday existed and it's interesting to hear how many great comics came through its doors. I wish I had an opportunity to have been a member of the audience back then.

Watch!
Soooooo good! Well worth the watch. So glad there was video footage; wish there was even ore. That is one of the greatest tragedies of the Black race...the lack of visual record from our past. Well done!

MAN, I had no idea....
MAN, I had no idea that most of the comedians, both known and barely known, that I enjoy are affiliated with this place... I'm in awe of all of the talent that came through PHAT Tuesdays. Made me wanna go to LA just to see the place where legends grew legends. Loved every minute of this

Well done, worth the full three episode treatment
Worth watching all the way through. Great material and many worthy people who were on the scene, would have been hard to squeeze the whole story into 90 minutes or 2 hours. Props to Amazon for letting it be the length it needed to be. Great job all around.
