Cheap lids!

The lids are junk, we canned 15 jars and only 3 jars sealed... the lids had a burnt rubber smell when the jars were removed from the canner. Not a good buy on these. Stick to the top name brand lids only!

These canning lids and rings were used to can tomatoes. Four (4) out of Five (5) Lids buckled in a water bath. 2 out of six (6) rims came off during the water bath process. I have uploaded photographs of some of the bucked lids, please see photographs. I did not take a photograph of the rings that came off during the water bath process, which left tomatoes floating in the water bath; therefore leaving me to clean a huge mess.

The only reason the product was not returned is because I had to use additional lids and rings for more than 50 pounds of tomatoes. I just had to utilize the lids and rings through a different method, without allowing for a long process of the water bath process; which is my personal preference.

I would not recommend anyone buy this product if canning, and subsequently utilizing a water bath during the canning process.

Good rings, iffy lids

I compared these side by side with genuine Ball lids and rings. The rings are similar in weight and build quality. The lids on the other hand is where they are saving money. The silicone gasket material is half as thick as the Ball lids. I also see slight scratches in the lid coating material exposing the metal to the content of the jar. For the price, I am not complaining. I read reviews prior to buying. I have yet to run any of these in a water bath or pressure canner.

Failed to seal; Dents in lids after processing

I began using these on quart and pint jars to can pickles. Two of the quart jars failed to seal and after processing one lid had a dent in it, leaving me to question if I had a proper seal. Three of the pint jars had dents in them after processing. I've been canning for 20 years and have never seen this happen before. The dents were not visible prior to processing, or I would not have even used them.

I'm very disappointed in these. The lids are also very thin/light, far different from what I've used before (Ball and Wal-Mart store brand), so maybe that is why an invisible dent becomes pronounced after processing.

Had I been able to obtain Ball lids I never would have purchased these.

Do not buy! The lid buckles! Terrible product! I can’t believe Amazon allows this vendor to sell this junk. Most of the time, when a product is defective, Amazon simply refund the money no questions asked. I guess this vendor wants the unused product so they can Repackage it and sell it to another unsuspecting consumer. I guess that is why the package I received look like it was wrapped by a five year old.

I am an avid canner and bought these because they were the only ones left in stock… now I know why! All of the lids wrinkled and didn’t seal and the bands didn’t fit properly around my standard jars. I am very disappointed and will never buy this kind of over priced, cheaply made, garbage again!!

Not sure about the other negative reviews. But my take on this canning lids they feel just like ball lids not much of a difference in thickness they sealed perfectly. I canned over 400 Jars and only one didn’t seal but it resealed the second time good value

These lids are worthless! They bulged up during the water bath, ruined my dilly beans. The jar on the left is Ball (sealed great) and the one on the right is this terrible product. And the worst part is, I bought these last year and have missed the return window.
