Wallace has created characters you like and admire, and conversations and situations that entice and keep your attention; poignant and sad at times, action packed and anxious at others, but always well thought-out and constructed and very enjoyable. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the four books of this series and the 7 short stories that dovetail into the series.
I was very pleased with the ending, RW, and am glad you found it as hard to part with your characters as I did. As far as I’m concerned, you could add anther 4 books to the series, and I’d read them all!
