As a youth minister for many years, this reminded me of my story of my life in ministry. I related to all of this movie as if they had written my experience ministering to youth. All I can say is that The Lord lead me to use His Word and His Word alone and this message from the movie is correct. I have experienced it first hand, not just one youth group but with all the groups I have been apart of. The youth are seeking The Truth, not entertainment. In our youth groups we would have bible lessons for way over an hour and the youth wanted more. This was every week for years and the youth didn't grow so great in numbers but grew a great relationship with Christ. This is what truly matters. I did experience coming to a youth group that rejected not only me but The Word being preached. But one day, just like this movie, The Lord had a breakthrough and final they wanted to learn more; and they did. Years have passed and I still talk to some of those youth that are adults and even parents with teens. Some are still following Christ and there are some that are not. But my hope is that The Lord would bring them back to Christ soon for the seed has been planted. SO I encourage every youth minister out there that is having the same experience. Fight the good fight and stay focused on the goal. Remember, these are not your youth but of The Lord's. Don't get weary of doing good and preaching The Word of Jesus Christ, for in due time you will reap a harvest in The Name Of Jesus. Keep this in mind, The Father is calling you do be His witness so that you can see His Faithfulness in what He will do through His little ones. Stand still and know that The Lord is.
