Christie Would Love This Portrayal
Verified purchase
David Suchet is the quintessential Poirot; and in my opinion (while in costume) he embodies all of the physical characteristics Christie developed for her Belgian detective . These later episodes don't have the same feel as the earlier releases; but Suchet's ability to bring the stories to life compensates for the loss of the familiar.
These are two of the longer stories; and I am hard pressed to choose a favorite, but for those of you who enjoy the character of novelist Ariadne Oliver - effortlessly portrayed by Zoe Wanamaker then you will love "Mrs. McGinty's Dead." For those fans of Dame Harriet Walter, (Niece of Sir Christopher Lee) - "Sense and Sensibility" and "The Young Victoria" then "Cat Among the Pigeons" is for you. I highly recommend Series 11 to any Suchet or Poirot fan.

The Best Detective Series Ever!!!
Verified purchase
I have and purchased series 1 through 6, 10, 11 and 12 and have watched them more times than I can count. If you love the 1930's you will love this all the seasons of Poirot. I love the clothes, the cars, the mysteries and of course, the character of Hercule Poirot, Captain Hastings, Miss Lemon and Chief Inspector Japp! Amazon has season's 7,8,9 and 10 in a bundle for a great price. Season 13 will be the last season and will be out this September. David Suchet the talented actor who portrays Hercule Poirot is amazing and lovable. The whole team of actors come together making this detective series unforgettable. I am hooked and so too will you be once you see these great productions of Agatha Christie's Poirot Mysteries.

David Suchet is amazing

David Suchet is Poirot. I can't think of Poirot without the image of him as Poirot popping up in my head. I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks this way and I won't be the last. All of his acting as Poirot is superb. Many of the seasons are good but some of them are fabulous. This season is the latter. I especially liked Third Girl.

Too Dark!
Verified purchase
I have loved the Poirot series! But this was dark with no subtle humor. Part of the Poirot charm has been the subtle humor of the characters and the relationships between Poirot, Inspector Japp, Col Hastings and Miss Lemon. The other characters were not in this episode and Poirot was not his charming self. Sadly I did not like this particular episode/movie.

I love Poirot

It would take all of my little gray cells to express how much I love David Suchet as Hercule Poirot. I only wish that more of the seasons were available on Prime Streaming. My husband and I watch so that we can sharpen our own powers of observation and deduction. We purchased this season as a movie night treat.

I loved all the Poirot seasons - I wish that the writers would stay strictly to the book that Dame Agatha wrote because her stories are spectacular, but still their pretty darn good
