Horrible Movie

This was a terrible movie, and I was very disappointed. I had heard good things about the book and I love Richard Benjamin, but the plot was was just a series of repetitive and stale sexual jokes, don’t waste your money....

I have waited for this movie since my old vhs gave out. This to me was funny because my teen years were a lot of mix up feelings and observations of the events happening in the 70's. This is certainly not a great movie for many. But if denial, guilt and sexual feelings are presented in a way to be comical then this is for you. Richard Benjamin was a star at this time and he made some great movies Catch 22 and West World and many other fine films. But Karen Black is probably this movie driving force, it was in a time that she glowed and showed so many emotions from whimsical to downright nuts. Remembering nostalgia and watching it unfold on the screen is a great way to pass an afternoon

This movie is a laugh riot!

This movie is hilarious! For the first hour I kept laughing out loud every five minutes or so, which is very rare for me. Beyond the humor this movie illustrates / teaches you about how important sex can or should be in any relationship. Great performances by the entire cast.

Saw it back then. Thought it was great. Not quite as funny now but still a good movie from 1971.

AS THE OLD SAYING GOES, I'LL BET THE BOOK IS BETTER. I WAS ONLY 11 WHEN THE MOVIE CAME OUT, BUT WAS MORE SMITTEN WITH "DIARY OF A MAD HOUSEWIFE," WHICH WAS MY FIRST R-RATED MOVIE (ITS STAR, CARRIE SNODGRASS, WAS 20 YEARS LATER A GUEST IN THE B&B MY MOTHER OWNED AND OPERATED FOR 16 YEARS, AND I SWOONED OVER HER GRACIOUSNESS AND AUTOGRAPHING MY VT COPY OF THAT FILM...SADLY, SHE IS NO LONGER WITH US TO AUTOGRAPH THE DVD). LEE GRANT IS A SUPERB ACTRESS, HOWEVER, A-LIST AS MAMA PORTNOY! AND A YOUNG KAREN BLACK...MEMORIES! THANKS!
