I won't add a summary of the book, but will say that though it's gory, it's a great read!

Read the summary for it as it might not be to some people's taste as it's a tad darker than most Scare Street puts out.

The only nitpick I have is comma use in so much. That makes my eye twitch, but it's easy to overlook once you're fully drawn into the story!

The standout is all three elements of a good story; the well developed characters, the unpredictable plot, and the realistic scene settings. Plus it was an easy read, with short chapters, making stopping points frequently. I read the series straight through; but taking breaks when I wanted to savor the moments. I would read more by this author.

Book was gory but apparently not gory enough because I liked it. Russian family has a hobby of killing , not a fast kill but a long drawn kill. When they dumped a guy over a cliff, his last words were that the furries were going to kill them. The parents kidnapped a teenage girl for their sons birthday. Then all bell breaks loose. It's a quick read.

The characters are terrifying, violent and yet likable; psychopathic, murderous and yet relatable; and the monsters are both human and fantastical and equally frightening. There is love, humor and lots of dead bodies. Anyone who enjoys horror stories really should read this wonderful book. I am now on my way to book two to hopefully meet the murderous siblings!
