a good overview of the princesses
Verified purchase
I wasn't much interested in the people who became princesses, with the exception of Lady Diana (she wasn't a commoner though but nobility. she just wasn't born a princess). But it was nice to hear more from the born princesses. I liked Princess Victoria and Princess Beatrice more after hearing them speak. Princess Victoria sounds strong and intelligent and wise, and would probably be a great queen. She's very articulate and speaks well. I liked how she did combat training, because if she has command over their military, she needs to see things through the eyes of the soldiers. Princesse Beatrice sounds sweet and very much like Lady Diana. In fact the born princesses seem more humble, sincere, and down-to-earth. I just got the feeling that the married in princesses seemed a little standoffish.

It's Not THAT Bad
Verified purchase
But it's not great.

Pros:
-You may learn about a princess you didn't know existed
-Grace Kelly can take over any screen, even a MAC
-You see women breaking free of their assigned roles or leaving them for happiness

Cons:
-the transition graphics were terrible
-it doesn't feel like 'insider' knowledge, just a quick recap you could read anywhere on the internet
-it's very dated

Such a whitewash on almost all of these princesses...

Grace Kelly was basically sold into marriage by her wealthy father. The Mafia had her killed, research it. Even Jacqueline Kennedy looked more beautiful when they met. Princess Diana was also murdered, watch Unlawful Killing on yt for that. Lord Snowden cheated as did Margaret. Boring in many ways. I just want their jewelry lol. Do NOT recommend.

Unnecessary but fun
Verified purchase
I used this as a fun, short little thing to mostly listen to while I wrote lesson plans. The transitions were very "my coworker just learned how to use powerpoint" and it's all a bit dated, but it's enjoyable if you're not looking for in-depth, hard-hitting info.

A highlight reel of current and deceased princesses and some odd choices
Verified purchase
A hilight reel of some princesses, not sure about some of the choices, focusing on deceased and divorced Princess Diana and skipping Princess Eugenie-odd to say the very least, especially when they covered all of Princess Grace's girls.

So I guess in that sense it's a good historical movie if that is something you enjoy
Verified purchase
The picture of this short documentary is deceiving as that princess wasn't even talked about. It is a older movie at least 5 years or more. But I did learn some interesting things that I didn't know about and princesses I have never heard of. So I guess in that sense it's a good historical movie if that is something you enjoy.

Fluff
Verified purchase
A lot of fluff and nothing of substance. You want substance, read a book about the subject, any or all of them. This was just low quality click bait.

Disappointing.
Verified purchase
Disappointed that film did not have any detail about the Duchess of Cambridge despite her picture being on the cover picture. Why put her lovely face on a cover and then not put any footage on the film. the rest was interesting but rather fast moving and did not dig very deep.
So if you are hoping to see the Duchess on here be warned you wont.
