5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book For Learning Proofs!!
Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2021
This is the best math book that I have ever read! If you are interested in mathematics, please get this book as it will show you methods for understanding formal mathematics. This book provides all the concepts taught at a university plus bonus concepts. There is also no need in having a background in calculus or any other higher mathematics to understand what is taught. This book does a well job with providing examples and goes through each one in detail. By the end of this book you will have a stronger understanding in how to read and write proofs. Lastly, this book is engaging, trust me you will always be entertained! Get this book and it’s cheap!

5.0 out of 5 stars A math textbook that actually tries to teach you
Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2021
Very different style of textbook! The author really cares that you LEARN the material. He encourages the use of “scratch work” to work through problems and demonstrates that himself throughout the text. Also really well organized. I especially enjoyed the special sections at the end of each chapter which included open questions meant to pique curiosity in unsolved problems and introductions to different areas of math. He writes in a warm and personable manner which keeps you engaged, and there are cat pictures! Also, you really just can’t beat the price. Definitely recommend.
