Psych, the hit original series starring James Roday, Dule Hill and Corbin Bernsen, returns with its fourth season. Always a mix of romance and plenty of mayhem, Psych ratchets up the action this season as the crime-fighting duo of Shawn and Gus save old-western towns, battle an international art thief and even perform an exorcism or two.

#1. Catholics do NOT have Sunday School; they have Catechism.
#2. The Earth's land was separated after the flood, therefore koala bears were not isolated to Australia, because the Australian land mass was not yet isolated.
#3. The Fear of Humans did not enter the hearts of animals until after the flood.
#4. All animals--and humans--were herbivores prior to the flood.

Really good show

Fun show with lots of humor and entertaining characters. There are time I find Shawn and Lassie a bit annoying, not together just in general, but I still laugh out loud at times.

Any season of Psych is can't miss viewing, in my book!

Fave episode is 'death is in the air' right now. Judd Nelson's role as Thornberg virus specialist was hilarious! 'Bollywood Homicide' and 'High-top fade out' are also great, not least because of the wonderful re-renditions of the main psych theme song. In 'High-top', boyz 2 men does a great unseen guest role as the voices for Gus' college band.

Think tank is probably my all time fave episode of this season, not least because of the twist that occurs in the first twenty minutes.

Psych always features killer guest stars and I continue to watch devotedly because of the chemistry between Shawn and Gus.

Am so sad that the series just wrapped! --If you are even a remotely devoted psych fan and you haven't seen the finale yet, WATCH IT! Everyone right now is talking about the how I met your mother finale, what a let down etc.... The finale of Psych is one of the most touching, funny, heartfelt things I have ever seen-- completely true to the spirit of the show!!

Always hilarious...always endearing...

Psych really does withstand the test of time. The only hint that it was made a few years ago is the flip cellphones they use. Other than that, it seems as relevant today as when it first appeared. People who grew up during the '70s and '80s will love the numerous references to the music and pop culture of that time. However, my daughter was born in the '90s and loves the show too!

Psych is one of the best show on TV today, and Season 4 is just one great episode after another. The "comfort food" and "no need to revamp a winning formula" comments are pretty spot on, when I think about it, but most of the time I'd be happy to just watch a new Psych that's the same old Psych.
Of course there's more pineapple, and more 80's pop culture references, and more Gus don't be a . . . 's, and more silly aliases for Gus. There are also more 80's guest stars, and of course the Werewolf episode. I liked it so well that I watched the whole season within a week and a half of receiving it. (My 14 yr old daughter kept taking the disc I wanted to watch next, or I'd have probably watched it within a week.) I have most of season 5 on DVR, but still can't wait for it to come out on DVD (and of course for the Season 6 to be aired later this summer).
The gag reel, Psychouts, Montages and deleted scenes are must see.
Haven't checked out the podcast commentaries yet, so I can't comment on those, but although the video commentaries put my wife to sleep, I found them interesting.
Over all I say BUY IT!

Season four is quite possibly my favorite season, although season one comes in pretty close behind. Gus seems to find his own place this season, and Shawn has a nice thing going on at the beginning and end of the season (as usual). The first episode, "Extradition: British Columbia" is hilareous: Shawn takes Gus on the road to Canada, where he passes himself off as Santa Barbara's head detective and Lassiter & Juliet have to play second fiddle. Then we find out the whole reason he went to Canada: it was originally a trip he had planned for Abigail. I had to watch the episode again, because suddenly a lot of the scenes took on whole new meanings.

I also enjoyed "A Very Juliet" episode - very touching, even if it does pull Juliet and Shawn apart a bit. Perhaps that's why in Season five he sends a picture of a dog to all of Juliet's boyfriends with a message "this is you". Ah, the on again-off again relationship between the two.

If you enjoy the series, this is another one to add.
