Firstly who judges how much basket filler they need in cubic inches? Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was strange and wasn't really sure how much I was ordering. Basically you get a large bag. Imagine gallon ziplock baggie full type of bag. I should have measured it before I threw the packaging away. Every other time I've bought shreds it's purchased by weight. So I thought I was buying excelsior wood SHREDS, not one or 5 super long pieces of wood shreds filled in a bag. Because the "shreds" are so long I've had to cut them to make them look nice in my basket. After cutting these "shreds" into 6" or so pieces I had the biggest mess. Little bits of wood shreds everywhere. It could have been me not reading the description carefully but these really aren't shreds. Individual pieces of something to fill the basket/bowl. You have to turn these into pieces. When all was said and done, the excelsior did look great in my basket and floor, and everywhere else. As you cut them, they fly.....
The product is quality, but the quantity for the cost is a little high considering bulk alternatives. This would be on the very coarse end of the spectrum if you've worked with excelsior before.
Quality is good but the bag was much smaller then I expected... who uses 328 cubic inches as a measurement anyhow... The bag it came in measured about 12x12 Inches.
