Blog postI did not expect this today. I was 99.99% certain there was no chance I would make the list with this book.
But that 0.01% reminded me good things can happen to those who work hard and keep trying.
I am over the moon, but please don’t pinch me. (I’d rather not wake up right now!)
In anticipation of 99.99% chance of failure, I had penned in eternal disappointment between 2-5pm (PST.) Instead, I now have to deal with 0.01% of elation partnered with disbelief and a heft s5 hours ago Read more -
Blog postHey, folks.
Just to make it clear, the previous post regarding the conclusion of the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series has zero relevance or bearing on any other series I’m working on. If the series name does not start with “Magical Romantic Comedy” or “Magically Hellish comedy” or an “Otterly Magical Comedy” it is not being discussed regarding being completed.
But since I’m here, here’s the current to-do list.

Blog postHey, folks. (I swear, one day the cats will get off their lazy rumps and do some work around this place, but in the meantime, you get a very tired me.)
It has come to my attention that my birthday falls on a Tuesday next year. This means the mythical double release rule is invoked. Doggone Mess had already been selected as next year’s birthday book… but as it’s on a Tuesday, you’re also getting The Vampire of Montana: an Agents of the Royal States Novel.
You’re welcome.

Blog postFor those of you who prefer to read your books in a single e-book file, I have gotten the first series bundle prepared. You can check it out here. It has all of the covers in the file for your enjoyment, and it uses the Playing with Fire cover to help give a visual indication it’s the first bundle.
I will do the other bundles as I get time. I ran out of go-go juice. (Plus I have a migraine.) I will do a post as each of the single volume bundles are ready for those who have been waitin3 days ago Read more -
Blog postHey, folks.
After a rather stressful (and entertaining-for-the-cats) sort of day, I have figured out how to solve my bundling issues! I have gotten payhip for direct sales to work. As such, there are now book bundles of the Mag Rom Com series available with a $1 discount per book. Currently, the bundles are of individual books, but I am working on single volume collections for those who want to read bundles in one nice, neat, and tidy file.
Here are the details, as found on th5 days ago Read more -
Blog postBefore I begin, I apologize for forgetting to include the link for Moon Tamed. You can preorder the book at the following retailers: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books.
Next week, I will be raising the price of that preorder on retailers to account for the extra staff I need to hire to pivot, yet again, for Amazon’s policies.
Amazon’s policies are ultimately to blame. They expect literal perfection out of a book. I currently have one professional editor and sixte1 week ago Read more -

Blog postFirst, Plaidypus will not have its price changed until someone submits errors through Amazon’s tool.
Initially, I was going to wait until January 1, 2023 to implement the price change from $5.99 to $6.99. Thanks to people reporting errors to Amazon, I have changed my mind. As Amazon insists on forcing me to spend time on their schedule, people who use the retailers rather than my patreon will end up carrying the burden of the price for additional work, having to interrupt my schedule,1 week ago Read more -

Blog postYosemite has been a bucket list item for a very, very long time, and my husband let me make a tent cabin reservation for before my birthday. It was an ADVENTURE!
Weather forecast: high in the 70s, lows in the 40s.
Reality: (see picture)
Yes, that is snow! That is the Upper Yosemite Falls in the background. While it was snowing.

Blog postYou can find out about the auction by clicking this link. The auction funds benefit SFWA programs meant to support the genre and writers in the field.
A few of the books use out-of-print cover art, so even better for somebody who wants to collect nice things. Like my books.
Good luck!
The bidding for the auction ends on May 16, 2022. (Which also happens to be my birthday.)

She’s not sure if they want her or her brother, but she doesn’t want to find out.
Nadine knows one thing for certain: her backwater town is too small for everybody coming to pay her family of two a visit. Maybe she doesn’t have a male platypus’s venomous spurs, but she’s ready to put up a fight to protect her brother, and not even the sexy plaid-clad stranger strutting his stuff is going to lure her away from home.
Assuming she’ll be given a choice in the matter is only the first of her mistakes.
Warning: this novel contains the mythical plaidypus and other deadly puns, romance, bodies, a minimum of two Canadians, and a mandatory magical adventure to Australia.
Proceed with caution.
Plaidypus can be read as a standalone.
When the going gets tough, the tough get their hands dirty.
Join NY Times bestselling authors Faith Hunter and Jennifer Estep along with USA Today bestselling authors R.J. Blain, Diana Pharaoh Francis, and Devon Monk on a brand-new romp through magical worlds where the damsels bring the distress, what can go wrong will go wrong, and nothing is as it seems.
Adventure with Eli Younger, Liz Everhart, and Brute in the thrilling world of Jane Yellowrock. Face off against old gods and lost souls at a magical crossroads on Route 66. Become entangled in Ashland’s dark, deadly web with side characters from the Elemental Assassin series. Return to the irreverent world of Beck Wyatt, where disaster waits around every corner and cheesecake makes it all worthwhile. And finally, meet up with the Quinns and friends in the zany world of the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series.
In this collection of all-new urban fantasy and paranormal stories, the gloves are off and simply surviving might just be the dirtiest, most difficult deed of all.
Catering to the magical is a tough gig on a good day, but Bailey has few other options. Spiking drinks with pixie dust keeps the locals happy and beats cleaning up the world’s nastiest magical substances. She could live without serving Police Chief Samuel Quinn most days of the week, especially after destroying his marriage.
But when she’s targeted with a cell phone bomb containing gorgon dust capable of transforming her home into a stone tomb, she’s tossed head first into a mess with her sexiest enemy. Add in his ex-wife angling for revenge, and Bailey must use every trick up her sleeve to survive.
The last thing she needs is to fall in love with Manhattan’s Most Wanted Bachelor.
Saving Manhattan will be tough enough.
Step two: light a match.
Step three: watch the devil’s house burn.
As far as plans go, Sandra Moore rather likes hers. It’s simple. It gets the job done. It reduces the devil’s house to smoldering ruins. Life is good—at least for the year she has left of it, assuming the devil doesn’t kill her first.
Instead of the quick end and the retribution she deserves, Sandra gets the client from hell for the case of a lifetime, one that could forever change the war between the heavens and the devil’s many hells.
But when someone unleashes a horde of newly turned and hungry vampires on an unsuspecting Manhattan, Pepper pursues her role as a seeker of justice for the dead and a protector of the living. Taking to the streets as the Silent Stalker is only the beginning of the hunt for the culprits behind the deaths plaguing the city.
To find the answers she needs, she must embrace what it means to be Emerick’s partner in life and beyond death while also accepting everything she has become—including being a vampire.
New York City delivered, distracting him with three corpses and a miniature llama with a spitting problem and an attitude. If he wants to return to a normal life, he’ll have to face off against a sex trafficking ring targeting the woman of his dreams, ancient vampires, murderous criminals, his parents, and an FBI agent with a hidden agenda.
Some days, it isn’t easy being an ex-cop.
Warning: This novel contains excessive humor, action, excitement, adventure, magic, romance, and bodies. Proceed with caution.
Teaming up with the son of a demon, an angel, and one hell of a woman might push Diana to the limits of her courage and sanity. Unless she wants to sell her soul to the devil, she must cope with her new partner, make the most of a bad situation, find out who stole her cat and why.
What she learns will forever change humanity—and lead to a battle destined to forever change the heavens and the devil’s many hells.
Fetching a cat out of a tree should’ve been a quick, easy fifty bucks in Kanika’s pocket. Instead, following one stray thought, the devil pays her a visit and leaves her with a debt to repay.
Owing the devil a favor is bad enough, but her life is turned upside down when it’s time to pay the piper. First, she doesn’t want the world’s sexiest firefighting, kitten-rescuing Scot as an unwilling companion. Since that wasn’t bad enough, she doesn’t know who wants him dead or why, but there’s no way in hell she’s going to let someone mar his perfection.
Add in the fact the devil wants an heir, and there’s only one thing she knows for certain: she’s in for one hell of a job.
Being assigned a handler could make or break her, but did the powers that be really have to toss Sebastian Sumners her way? The lion with a stubborn streak as wide as hers tests her patience on a good day, but nothing makes her purr more than goading him into roaring.
Add in a protective family, a serial killer on the loose, and more trouble than any one cat needs, and it’s going to take a miracle for Harri to get through the most important job of her life.
Warning: contains magic, humor, cranky shapeshifters, cats, murder, and mayhem. Proceed with caution.
A corrupt police chief is on the loose, and it falls to Bailey and Quinn to put an end to him before he finds some way to weaponize the spreading rabies virus, create yet another batch of potent gorgon dust, and otherwise wreck Bailey’s happily ever after.
With a pair of orphaned gorgon whelps to care for, more animals she can shake a stick at, and her husband’s determination to make the world a perfect place for her, Bailey has her hands full. To protect everyone she loves, she must embrace her dubious role as the Calamity Queen and rain hell down on those who stand in her way.
The Flame Game is on.
Warning: this novel contains two fire-breathing unicorns on a napalm bender, action, adventure, chaos, mayhem, humor, and bodies. Proceed with caution.
Armed with a probationary private investigation license, Janette and her friends race against time to prevent the next murder. On the surface, the motive for the killings seems simple enough: the senate bill, if passed, would transform the United States into a militant dictatorship.
As hostilities around the nation intensify and the pressure of the investigation strains Janette’s relationships with her family and friends, she learns loyalty only goes so far, friendships are as easily forged as they are broken, and justice means little to those determined to preserve their personal liberties.
But when a murder attempt turns into a kidnapping, she’s left with one choice: uncover the truth, or die trying.
Warning: contains humor, excitement, adventure, magic, romance, and bodies. Proceed with caution.
