This short film is an odd one with a storyline that seems too elaborate for a five-minute conceptualization. It made me think and, while probably unintentionally, has me pondering some ethical issues from the film. I like when a show/movie can do this for me. But in general, I'm just left with so many questions: 1) Why the name, and what does it have to do with the film? (Other than Reuben being the name of the main character) 2) Are we supposed to like Reuben, or any of the characters? Or sympathize with him? 3) What is with all the alcohol? Is everyone alcoholics (especially Reuben)? How does this contribute to the storyline? 4) Reuben obviously suffers from delusion, but are there are other mental health issues at play here that affect how he acts? Or is he supposed to just be weird?
