Rambling Rose is a Film you won't soon forget!
The Country Southern setting lends itself over Completely to each of these 6 entirely Eccentric Southern characters.

Mom & Dad played by Dianne Ladd & Robert Duvall, with a newcomer to their brood of 3 children, Rose– played by a young Laura Dern, is hired as a domestic via phone and letter, sight unseen.

The family feels pity for Rose as her family has all died, leaving her penniless and having been approached and refused to work as a prostitute in Louisiana.
Rose is welcomed and treated with Love and Care by the entire Clan, but soon one thing after another, Calamity ensues until Rose puts the Family into a precarious situation.

A Great Quality DVD and Production, I'm Proud to Own Rambling Rose. 🌹

What an excellent cast! With Laura Dern as a very young unprepared woman taken in by a quirky family with Robert Duvall as the dad, Diane Ladd as the kind, caring mother and Lucas Haas (the little boy in Witness) as the very hormonal teenage son this movie is a tender laugh fest, which is a nice combo. And you'll get to know what "the epizooties" are ....

For those who care...
The Amazon product description incorrectly states that this DVD has subtitles in both English & Spanish, but it actually has no subtitles at all. Also - the film is presented in the pan-and-scan 1:33:1 aspect ratio (the product description does accurately mention this).

Laura Dern shines in this movie and works with her real mother, I don't think I've seen her act so well until I saw this movie and the coming of age boy is fantastic, so worth the watch

I've always enjoyed this movie and watched it whenever it was being shown on TV. Laura Dern plays such a funny character and Robert Duvall, as well. Not a movie for the youngsters, though!
