Entertaining and Inspiring, REAL TALK shows that we all can use our voices and lives for good

I found out about the movie REAL TALK on Instagram. That led me to head over to Amazon to check it out.

The movie is funny, relatable and gives you so many different perspectives about life, what is possible and also what is worth fighting for. With the main character Dominique we see someone with a platform. Will she use that power and influence for good or her own self interest? And when it comes to those who listen to her will she be able to get them to do more than just be bystanders in life?

Love the way the film folds in different messages without sounding preachy. By the end you not only rejoice at people coming together to help someone else but you realize in Dominique's monologue that we all have a voice and platform. What matters is how we choose to use it.

I loved this movie! The talk show concept is such a good way of exploring the themes of self-fulfillment and success in the modern age. It's a good medium for the conversation needed to fully consider complex takes on race, sex, and money. The actors do a great job living through a hard night on the radio making it just as interesting to watch as it is to think about.
