The richest of New York's rich gather at The Pierre's Cotillion Room to raise money for those less fortunate. A fatal blast rocks the room, stirring up horrifying memories of 9/11. Is the explosion an act of terrorism . . . or a homicide?
A big-name female filmmaker is the next to die, in a desolate corner of New York City. Detectives Zach Jordan and Kylie MacDonald investigate. But the crimes keep escalating as a shadowy killer masterfully plays out his vendetta -- and threatens to take down NYPD Red in the bargain.

About the authors
MARSHALL KARP co-created and coauthored the NYPD RED series with James Patterson. Featuring Detectives Kylie MacDonald and Zach Jordan, RED is dedicated to solving crimes committed against the city’s rich and famous.
After six bestsellers James asked Marshall to take on the series. "Marshall always manages to surprise readers with the twists and turns of his plotlines," Patterson said. “Now when I read the books I'll have no idea how they end."
NYPD RED 7: THE MURDER SORORITY will be released 11/22/22.
But first, there’s SNOWSTORM IN AUGUST. When Central Park is strafed with 4000 pounds of cocaine, the only NYPD unit trained to go up against this level of terrorism has been disbanded, so the task falls to former NYPD captain Danny Corcoran and a global network of cops who share a common designation: NYPD (RET.)
Marshall is also the author of the critically acclaimed Lomax and Biggs Mysteries, and has written numerous TV sitcoms, a play, and a feature film. More at www.karpkills.com

Inspired by his own son who was a reluctant reader, he also writes a range of books for young readers including the Middle School, I Funny, Treasure Hunters, Dog Diaries and Max Einstein series. James has donated millions in grants to independent bookshops and has been the most borrowed author of adult fiction in UK libraries for the past eleven years in a row. He lives in Florida with his wife and son.

Thank you, Marshall, and Mr Patterson, for another amazing, wryly witty dalliance with NYPD Red.
This would make a terrific tv movie!.
Hats off to Mr Patterson and Mr Karp for yet another enjoyable read.

Zach is a great cop so is kylie but her competitive nature means she is aggressive and tactless. I kind of got more wrapped up in her and Zac's tension that I'm sure I missed the background story. I re read it just to make sure I got the whole story. Can't wait for the next one. Thoroughly enjoyed it despite hating on kylie

What a cracking thriller that keeps you guessing right to the end. I love this series and hope that it's not too long before number 6.

This is a fantastic read and it didn't matter that I hadn't read any of the previous books. It is fast paced and has great characters.
Recommended.

Having read so many I never get bored his books are always really great my problem is that I read to fast and I am disappointed when finished.
Still I always await the next one of any of his books.
Please never stop writing.
