That said, this is definately on the complete "creep out" catagory. None of the stories have an "happily ever after" ending. And several will haunt your dreams. This is because they are generally well written, have a compelling plot, and characters that are well drawn. Descriptions are just enough to inspire self visualization - something that can actually have an additional scare factor if your mind works that way.
The compilation is well done. Each story fades well into the next. I will be reading other books by several of the authors - - perhaps not so much their horror books, but most write other genres and I find their writing intriguing.

We often read horror stories where the horrors escape or are released but are finally defeated by the forces of good and light. Or, at least, someone stops them in some way, even if only by accident. After reading them, we breathe a sigh of relief because we are still safe.
These are not those stories. The horror is here to stay, tainting and corrupting our world and making things worse for everyone, not only the protagonist. Unless, of course, the protagonist IS the horror unleashed! Horrors of all kinds abound here, from simple possession to sci-fi horror to psychological horror to body horror, and beyond in all directions. You have been warned.
Oh, by the way, my story contains a little easter egg of real-world horror in it. See if you can work out what it is...!
