I have worked in the financial industry for 13 years, both as a retirement-focused advisor and with hundreds of the most successful advisors in this space across the U.S. There is simply no other person on this planet who can take such advanced and important planning concepts and make them both humorous and accessible for people of all levels of financial education. It is enjoyable to read cover to cover, as well as to use as a reference tool to quickly refer back to for the tips most pertinent to you.
There is a “What’s new in this edition – at a glance” at the front of the book that shows a great summary of all the massive legislation that has occurred in recent years impacting the taxation of retirement accounts. Even if you have read past editions of Ed’s work (as I have!) this is an entirely updated action plan built for navigating today’s landscape.
This book is especially helpful for those at and near retirement or the many facing separation from service following the pandemic. If you are looking for guidance and additional resources to make informed decisions to protect your retirement savings accounts from unnecessary taxes--this book is for you!
This book does a wonderful job explaining the jungle associated with most Government controlled programs. Making changes to your IRA without an understanding of the rules is like playing the game of baseball without not knowing rules. The game may seem intuitive, but the details are in the rules. A simple mistake, even by an estate lawyer who is an expert is estate law, can cost you and your beneficiaries big bucks in taxes.
If you want a basic understanding of the differences between a 401K, 403B, 457, IRA, Roth IRA, Roth 401K, this is your book. If you want to know how to maximize the money you give to your kids thru inheritance from your financial plans like IRAs and 401Ks, this is your book. If you want to know how to minimize the tax dollars the government bites out of your estate, this is your book.
The cost of this book could be the best gift you can read for your future beneficiares... JAS
This is a book you read with a highlighter in one hand.
