Okay, the premise was great: Something, no one knows for sure what yet, has taken out everything electrical. That means most technology is gone, or at least, unusuable. Then it sets up a possible conspiracy, then we jump into the future. Much of the story is told via flashbacks, which doesn't make me happy, but it works all right, I guess.
There is a ton of 'action' in this, like sword fights and that type of action. It gets a little old, in place of storyline. The acting isn't horrible, but the characters haven't gotten comfortable with themselves yet.
The biggest complaint I have right now is that episode after episode, I keep waiting for something to happen. The storyline just isn't moving forward very fast. I want to like this series, I really, really do, but the first season is just really slow. I'm hoping the writers will pick things up in the next season and we'll see more development of the storyline. I realize it's a series and some things and mysteries need to be drawn out, but sometimes, something need to happen to keep people interested. It's just dragging for me right now.
Looking forward to the finale and then seeing how things shape up next season. But all in all, it's a good start to an interesting premise. If you're looking for a good series to pick up from the beginning, this one might be worth considering.
