About Rex Bohachewski
Rex Bohachewski is a published author and credit coach who has written two books on the subject of credit: How To Get A Loan and Give Yourself Some Credit. Rex is a former banker with one of the big six banks in Canada and has approved thousands of loans during his career. He is currently working on his latest book How To Get Credit When You Have Bad Credit. Contributions to anthology books include Donna Kozik's Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude, Connie Ragen Green's The Baseball Short Story Anthology and Julaina Kleist-Corwin's the forthcoming Scene to Shining Scene - Elements of Good Storytelling. He attended the University of the Fraser Valley and obtained a bachelor’s of business administration. Rex enjoys attending local football games and dresses up as a "Superfan," to the delight of the kids. His wife and daughter groan when a "Dad joke" is enthusiastically related to them with the expectation of laughter on their part. Rex calls the Fraser Valley (Canada's Raspberry Capital) home, which is nestled in the Lower Mainland located in British Columbia, Canada, not far from where the 2010 Winter Olympics were held.

Editor's Note: Ten years ago we were ten years removed from 9-11 and my Done for You Book Publishing company was looking for a way to give my subscribers a way to mark the occasion. We produced “The Gratitude Book Project: A Celebration of Personal Heroes.” It marked a milestone since that September day no one will forget--one of time and distance and, for most, healing. Now it’s ten years after that. I wanted to revisit the theme of personal heroes once again and feel that although the time and distance from 9-11 has helped more with that healing, other things have caused more strife and tears in the fabric of our country and the world. It seems like it’s time once again not to look at those who bring us down and tell them what’s wrong, but instead focus on those who lift us up, no matter the circumstances, and help us see what’s right.
It’s time to put the attention--and the praise--on our personal heroes.
The world really needs you to show up and make it a better place. This is what happens when you share your gifts and talents with others who need your support. This is how you create your legacy! The time is now!
A donation on behalf of all the contributing authors of this book has been made to No Kid Hungry, Our help will allow this charity to continue their work to ensure every kid gets three meals a day.
These authors are men and women from three countries on two continents and range in age from twelve years old to almost eighty years young. The single thing that connects us all is our mutual love for the sport of baseball, and the people that make this game come to life every season.
The next time you are watching a game on television or at the ball park, or discussing the latest plays by your favorite players with your closest friends, think for just a moment about what your life would be like without baseball. Then snap back to reality, knowing that baseball is a constant in the world as we know it and will be around for generations to come. And if you want to know what it truly means to be in love, share baseball with someone special in your life and see firsthand how that feels.
Bob Burnham asked this question and the answer that always came back to him is One Thought Away. Our lives always go in the direction of our thoughts. So all we have to do is change our thoughts. Sounds easy right?
Here's the problem!
We think our thoughts over and over again until they become a belief and then even our truth. This does not serve our highest good in truly living the life we want to live. We may buy into our beliefs so deeply we think they're real but in fact they are all made up and are just thoughts. In most cases we've inherited our thoughts and beliefs from parents, coaches, teachers and even TV. We've bought into these beliefs and thoughts so deeply some of us will even die for them. Does that give you a sense of how powerful beliefs can be? That power is an illusion and is only fuelled by our thoughts-which we have the power to change in one moment.
In this life-changing book you'll discover how:
*Putting action behind his new belief lights up the darkest period of Lorenzo Lamas's life.
*Being proactive about her new belief transformed Vanna White's biggest career error into her new role as America's Sweetheart.
*What was once a shameful secret for Jeannie Trasolini became a catalyst for others to find the courage to look for their own lost children.
*Taking the plunge to invest in herself propelled Lisa Sasevich, the Queen Of Sales Conversion, to make millions of dollars per year sharing her blessings with the world.
*Getting dumped on national TV became the impetus to help Tammi Baliszewski, Ph.D and other women find true authentic love.
Challenging actor Robert Calvert's biggest fear gave his audience their biggest laughs.
*A limiting belief about weight was transformed by internationally-known healer Ann Taylor into a life of love, support and connection.
*After being stuck in an abusive relationship, Kathy Kovacs, one of Canada's favorite sports anchors, finds freedom in a new life on her own terms.
*And over 30 more stories along with a special Belief Change Tools section!

That was the prompt for this edition of The Community Book Project. A group of 100+ contributing authors answered this question in 200 words or less. Their entries are gathered here. This book includes stories about living out loud (and on your own). There are tales of friends and flags and even one about online dating.
Take them in and think about this question, too: What does independence mean to you?
