Great for the whole family!

My toddler loves trains & trucks, and I enjoy engineering, so watching this show is a great father & son experience for both of us. The big surprise is that my wife also enjoys this show, because Richard Hammond explains things so clearly, she can follow along as well.

Very cool show...Richard Hammond is the best :)

We follow Richard Hammond on just about everything he films. This show, though similar to other things he's done, has enough that is different and interesting that we could have watched it twice in a row. Here's to hoping he keeps the series going.

Demonstrates complex engineering feats in simple entertaining ways

Whether you like Richard Hammond or not is a personal preference ( I happen to be greatly entertained by him and his style). However, this series, regardless of whether you like him or not, provides a great simplified perspective into very complex engineering feats. Specifically, I like that the concepts here are easily imaginable and translatable to any other type of engineering problem solving prior to applying any technical depth (which is something sorely lacking in classes these days).

All this aside, I find this series very entertaining.

Entertaining and Enlightening.

There is a bit of "cheesiness"...or "cheeky-ness" to this series. But its done in a lovable way. The places visited by Richard Hammond are INCREDIBLE. And he's not a shabby presenter while there, either. Long live the Hamster!

mind-blowing engineering

there's more to building a car than just putting nuts onto bolts. there's timing (when stuff needs to be where), logistics (getting stuff in and out), information (which stuff goes onto other stuff), and then the task of doing it all the fastest, most efficient way possible. the scale of this success in every dimension is staggering.
