About Richard Ross
Richard Ross is husband to LaJuana, who has joined him in a lifetime of loving teenagers. They are parents of Clayton. Richard served as youth minister for thirty years and now is a volunteer with teenagers and parents at Wedgwood Baptist in Fort Worth. Richard is professor to the next generation of youth ministers at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth.
Richard says: "I am absolutely committed to spending every remaining minute on present earth--infusing teenagers with the supreme majesty of God's Son, thus raising the sails for a revival that may propel the Gospel to the last person on earth.
I seek to speak and write in the power of the Spirit to impact students, parents, and leaders in order to see students who, for the glory of the Father and in the power of the Spirit, spend a lifetime embracing the full supremacy of the Son, responding to His majesty in all of life, inviting Christ to live His life through them, and joining Him in making disciples among all peoples."

Parenting with Kingdom Purpose
Jun 1, 2005
$7.99
“What if we raise our children to gain the world but in the process they forfeit their souls?” ask the writers of Parenting with Kingdom Purpose (True Love Waits founder Richard Ross and best-selling author Ken Hemphill).Indeed, children are a constant reminder of God’s goodness. In that light, Christian parents are called to celebrate and nurture the unique personality traits and talents of each precious one with a gracious and eternal perspective. Yet studies indicate 70 percent of teenagers from evangelical homes will drop out of church within two years after high school graduation. What the world has to offer will win their closer attention.Parenting with Kingdom Purpose looks at Bible teaching and the recent National Study of Youth and Religion to shape a fresh approach to raising children that cuts through the chaos of modern life and brings families closest to each other and the Lord.

50 Core Principles of Youth Ministry
Sep 6, 2012
by
Richard Ross
$4.99
In recent years, researchers and other leaders began to uncover ways of doing youth ministry that appeared more related to genuine and lifetime faith. Individuals began reporting out their new thinking in books, journal articles, and magazines. But that meant new thoughts were scattered across many publications. Busy youth leaders found it difficult to do the extensive reading required to find all the insights.
50 Core Principles of Youth Ministry is a concise synthesis of much of the best we now know about ministry with the next generation. And it is a portal to most of the best books in the field. The book follows this general pattern: 1. A core principle. 2. Why the principle is important. 3. The key books that amplify that principle.
The book synthesizes excellent research, thinking, and writing by such leaders as Jeff Borton, Bo Boshers, Jim Burns, Francis Chan, Chap Clark, Kenda Dean, Mark DeVries, Mike DeVries, Tim Eldred, Tim Elmore, Doug Fields, Richard Foster, Eric Geiger, Mike Higgs, Allen Jackson, Len Kageler, Mike King, David Kinnaman, Rick Lawrence, Mark Matlock, Jeanne Mayo, Josh McDowell, Sean McDowell, Walt Mueller, David Platt, Kara Powell, Dave Rahn, Alvin Reid, Duffy Robbins, Barry Shafer, Christian Smith, Barry St. Clair, Gregg Stier, Rich Van Pelt, Scott Wilcher, Dallas Willard, and many others.
