To say that this movie is good is an understatement. From beginning to end, it keeps you engaged. This movie takes you out of your own bubble and makes you realize how challenging life can be sometimes. It shows you the importance of family, how passion, drive, support, and encouragement can change your entire life. It will make you laugh at times, it will make you feel good at times, and you can be sure, it will make you cry.

Being a movie with a heavy BMX vibe, you may ask yourself... "is this movie for me?" (especially if you aren't necessarily into the sport). It is! Besides being fun to watch, the BMX angle is worked into the story in a manner that is exciting and relatable to everyone, not just BMX lovers. The movie is more a narrative about John's experiences through life as a whole, and how being introduced to BMX HELPED shape his life.

If you know John, you know that this film has been a long time in the making. The entire cast is really great in this, especially Ludacris as John's foster/adoptive father. Give it support, spread the word, and watch it for yourself- you won't be disappointed.

The feels!

This movie gives me the feels. Not only is it relevant to what is going on in our world today, it teaches us that was can move on and move forward making positive changes in our lives. This story shows the growth that someone can make by allowing their predisposed walls to break down and to build a positive path forward towards the future. Very proud of our friend for all he is done, and allowing the world to see a glimpse at his life and how things can change.

Wow, it's a shame this wasn't in theaters.

I didn't know what to expect, I knew I would probably enjoy it being a long time BMX rider and Freestyle rider from back in the day, but all that aside the story is engaging and an amazing one at that. The acting is top-notch and the storytelling is on point. It's not often we get to see inside the life of people we admire and see the hardships they endure. A lot of just assume life has always been good for them and they had all the breaks. Thanks for telling your story. This is a great film.

Uplifting & Inspiring

The show was light on the abuse side. Some may not feel it was realistic enough but, you can use your imagination on how bad it truly was. The show could have shown more struggle between the adoptive parents but, understand that would have taken away from the boys story. Good movie to inspire young minds.

Heartfelt, touching, serious, with just enough humor to dry your eyes and make you smile

This movie was great, it was an emotional rollercoaster I found myself laughing out loud at Scenes and tearing up at others. What a great story that was shared with us and it also brings awareness to multiple issues that are not easy to talk about. Chemical Dependency, racism, and orphaned children. Add this one to your watchlist and watch it tonight!

I first saw the trailer for this movie a few days ago. As soon as it came out on November 13th I watched it first thing in the morning. I cried through the whole thing and I laughed and it made me feel good. Very inspiring and heartwarming true story and I’m very grateful that they told it. Movies are like medicine to me. Sometimes I need them to open my heart. Let out some tears. Makes the day go better for me. This one did the trick.
