RiffTrax: Yor Hunter From The Future

1 h 23 min2019X-Ray13+
With an over-the-top theme song, cheesy creature effects, and a ridiculous final act that will truly surprise anybody who didn't finish reading the title, this flick is truly an 80s cheese connoisseur's delight. This feature is a parody and contains the original movie combined with a comedic commentary by Mike, Kevin and Bill from RiffTrax (formerly of MST3K).

Couldn't stand the commentary

Got about 5 minutes into it, and couldn't take the VERY UNFUNNY commentary. MST3000 was hilarious 25 years ago, but this is just sad. Better to just show the movie without dumb--s comments and let its schlock speak for itself.

Yor is a babe magnet.

It’s not one of their best but if the movie isn’t a total dud it’s harder to riff it and this one wasn’t all that bad of a movie. It was cheesy and low budget but this kind of movie has it’s own barbarian, caveman & dinosaurs genre… but there’s always a pretty girl to be had wherever Yor goes. There is a nice twist in what I’d call the final acts so even if the riffing is a little lame the movie itself is somewhat entertaining and the silliness just adds to the humor.

Not MST3K Quality

These guys need more bourbon or weed. The whole schtick has gone downhill. MST3K was funny and seemed more spontaneous despite undoubtedly being scripted.

As crappy as the movie is (it IS supposed to be that) it would have been better without the semi-lame commentary which was mostly not funny.

I really wanted to watch the original Yor movie. You can barely see RiffTrax on the cover in the Amazon prime app.

Riff Trax is less funny than mystery theatre

If only they had good comments during the movie. That I could understand, this... Is just awful.

Yor's World!!!

Made during the low budget Barbarian film craze of the 80's mixed with elements of Star Wars rip-offs Yor is probably one of the worst movies ever made...yet it has such strange allure. I see another reviewer commented that the soundtrack quote: "is like Queen gone wrong..." LOL! So right! Is it really set in the distant past with a technologically advanced civilization living on an island? Or is it our distant future where man reverted back to barbarism? Who knows, who cares. Yor smashes his way through one dysfunctional society after another and chaos follows. The only real question any guy watching this film probably needs to answer is which cave-girl is hotter? Betty Rubble or Kala? Hmmm.

The cheese faxtor is very high, and the added trckx with the commentry was the only thing that made it enjoyable. Some might say it is so bad it is good. I would't. It's bad.
