RIVER'S MYSTIC CRUSH is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are a few sexy scenes if that is an issue for you. If the hero is the guy on the cover, I can fully understand the sex scenes!! The story is set in Mystic, Conn. where the hero grew up.

River was born and raised in Mystic. His mother and father were hard working parents who loved their family. They dealt with the tourist and their money each season. Lots of folks treated them like the help and thought because of their money they were better than the average family. River spent his summers working at the marina to earn spending money. The kids that had everything handed to them looked down on him and his family. He was determined to make something of himself despite them.

Emma was one of the ones born into wealth that her mother supplied with each additional groom she added to her list of ex-husbands. She was a piece of work. Emma was not like her mother and she could see her for what she was. But she never called her on her behavior.

This is a good story. Lots of small lessons here. Emma and River are friends, she is 12 and he is 14 . She would slip off to the marina to talk to him while he cleaned boats and did odd jobs. He knew she came from money and she had a witch for a mother. They were young but something about Emma drew him in. However one day she is gone and he never hears from her again until....

Really good love story and of a young woman coming of age and putting herself on a path to taking control of her life. I definitely recommend this story. Good read and a great cover!!

Years ago, a teenager, while vacationing, Emma had a crush on the boy from the wrong side of town. A boy that she never forgot. Now as an adult, Emma decides that she wants to vacation again in that same town. What are the chances that she runs into that same boy, who would now be a man?
River was always looked down upon. Determined to make something of him self he became a Doctor and returned back to his roots in Mystic. While examining an ER patients X ray, he recognizes the name, could it be his Emma from all those years ago?
Natalie Ann is a fantastic author. This is a book that you will not want to miss.

Emma’s family vacationed in Mystic when she was a teen. She had a huge crush on a boy from the wrong side of town. She would never forget him.

River felt that he was always looked down on because his family was working class in a tourist town. As a teen, he had a crush on a girl from
a wealthy family who vacationed in Mystic. He would never forget her.

What are the chances that Emma and River would ever run into each other as adults? When Emma decides to take a solo vacation in Mystic but ends up in the ER her first day there, she is about to find out. When River, now a radiologist, see’s her name on X-rays, he thinks it can’t possibly be her but he has to check. Neither of them can believe this is happening. Do they really have a shot at a grownup relationship?

This was a great book. I loved the characters and the location. Natalie Ann has done it again!

I think we've all experienced a teenage crush while on vacation so it's easy to love this book about Emma and River reconnecting after many years. When Emma returns to Mystic for a much needed vacation, she doesn't expect to run into the boy that used to clean boats for wealthy people. However, now adults, that "boy" is an ER doctor that helps her with her injured ankle.
As the story unfolds, we learn more about each of their pasts and what they've been doing through the years. Heartwarming moments, second chances and youthful crush turns to love moments all had me quickly turning the pages. Natalie Ann is a great author and writes books filled with many emotions.

This is the first book in a multi-author series and each seems to easily be read on their own. I'm looking forward to reading the others next.

Emma Ellis met River on her summer vacation in Mystic. He worked at the docks where her stepdad kept his yacht. She would try not to let anyone see her talking to him because her mother wouldn’t approve because he was from the “wrong side of the tracks”. She looked forward to seeing him every day. One day her mom and stepdad got into a big fight and they left. Emma didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to River. She thought about him over the years. Emma decided to take a vacation to Mystic but didn’t tell anyone where she was going. Was she secretly hoping to see River again? How was he? What was he doing now?

River Scarsdale came from the “wrong side of the tracks” in Mystic. He always wanted to make something of himself so he became a doctor and practiced in Mystic. He never forgot about his first crush, Emma. He always wondered what happened to her. Will the two of them meet again? Can they rekindle their childhood crush?

I received this as an ARC. This is my honest opinion.

Oh I LOve This New Book

River and Emma met years ago when they were teenagers. They just clicked. But Emma's parents were wealthy and River's were not. Fast forward years later. Emma now grown up went back to Mystic because she could not forget the time she spent there and of course she could not forget River. While getting settled into her hotel, Emma twisted her ankle and had to go to the ER. And who did she see!!! River, who is now a Radiologist. The story just got better from there to the end. I am not going to give away any more you just have to read it for yourself.

I absolutely LOVED this book (and it did not hurt that it took place in one of my most favorite places!). River and Emma will tear at your hurt, both hurt as "kids" and still hurting as adults and meant to be together again! Fate and a great 5 stars from me, as deserved!!! <3

I am just going to love Ms. Ann's new series!

It started off with sparks!

I loved the start: Emma and River met as children and years later reconnect as adults. The fact that they're both available single eighteen years later is truly amazing.

Not sure what makes Emma travel to Mystic for a vacation, but, this reader was glad she did.

River was confident, yet not! This endeared him to me!

I loved everything about this couple! They fit together so well! Yin and yang for sure. Where one was uncertain, the other was sure, and vice versa!

Swooning going on here!
