5.0 out of 5 stars What an Incredible Novel by Brian Freeman
By Robert James Vandevoort (Show Low, Arizona) on December 21, 2020
Congresswoman Sofia Ortiz is preparing to give an outdoor speech in New York City. She is planning to introduce legislation in the Congress that would regulate tech privacy abuse. As she takes the stage, a shot is fired. Sofia is hit and drops over dead. Shots continue, from a hotel room window. The hotel room is registered to Jason Bourne, also known as Cain. Police quickly recover the weapon. The fingerprints of Jason Bourne are on the weapon. A massive manhunt for Bourne begins.

When the congresswoman is shot and shots continue, a Canadian newspaper reporter, Abbey Laurent, is standing near Sofia. A man rushes up and pushes Abbey down, so that she will not be shot. That man was Jason Bourne. How could he be in his hotel room shooting, when he was there by the stage? Jason, has been framed.

Jason Bourne was a former talented member of Operation Treadstone, a top-secret black-ops program of the Central Intelligence Agency. More recently he was doing work for a high technology cabal. Now everyone believes that he has been recruited by Medusa, a secret organization, believed to be funded by the government of another country. There are no shortage of groups now going after Bourne. If they catch him, he will immediately be killed.

Author Robert Ludlum wrote three Jason Bourne novels, the last one being “The Bourne Ultimatum” in 1990. Robert Ludlum passed away on March 12, 2001, and yet the Bourne novels continue, written by other authors. This reader tends to not read novels of a dead author, that continue under his name. He had not read any of the Bourne novels that followed. That is until now. The reason this reader did read Robert Ludlum’s “The Bourne Evolution”, which was released this past July, was because it was written by Brian Freeman.

Brian Freeman is simply an incredible author. One can say that he even out did Robert Ludlum in writing “The Bourne Evolution.” What an exciting, action-packed story this was. Should Brian Freeman continue writing Jason Bourne novels, this reader would be one happy person!
