"You Can Shine No Matter What You're Made of"

The product arrived in perfect condition. This movie has a special place in my heart. I remember going to see it in theaters when i was young and always trying to watch it when it was on tv. A beautifully animated adventure that follows a robot who has ambitions and follow his dreams of becoming an inventor. The cast of actors lending their voice is huge including Amanda Bynes, Ewan McGregor, and the amazing comedic talents of the late Robin Williams. This is great movie for the kids and with a few adult jokes thrown in every once in a while, this is really a great movie for the whole family. The mailing process was great and the movie was an enjoyable watching experience.

My Son Loves it, We Don't Like it

It's lacking a lot, but my son asks to watch it daily. 3 stars because he likes it so much, but his dad and I really don't care for it at all. Compared to a movie like "Shrek" where both parents and kids enjoy it, this is a 0. Again, the kid really likes it, so I can't discount that, I just wish we liked it too. It's loaded with celebrity voices, it's surprising to me that it wasn't better, but it was the same old "If you have a dream and determination, you can do it" movie (nothing wrong with that, it's just been done over and over ...and over again)

A great movie.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Right up there with Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Hobbit trilogy and The Longest Day. Why is a full-length cartoon one of my favorite movies? This is just not a cartoon, it is full of some of the greatest animation techniques I've ever seen. When Rodney Copperbotton (voiced by Ewan McGregor) first comes to Robot City, he is accosted by a character named Fender (voiced by Robin Williams) and they embark on a fantastic journey to Big Weld Industries. They ride some very fantastic contraptions. The scene were Rodney knocks over the dominoes is so realistic that it borders on the unbelievable. This movie originally came out in 2005. I don't know how well it did in box office returns, but my 6 year-old grandson and I have watched this movie a dozen times or more and know most of the dialogue by heart. I really enjoy this movie. If you haven't seen it, rent of buy a copy. You won't be disappointed.

Childhood Wonderment Led Me to Remember This Movie Not Better, Just Different

Recently, I was overcome with a wave of nostalgia and had the overwhelming urge to venture back into the universe of the 2004 movie Robots. I recalled a scene of the characters drinking oil in a Star Wars-esque bar scene that made my heart flutter with the same happiness movies such as Cars have given it, the joy that comes with things that are not human enjoying the human things in life. Despite my desire to watch the movie, I didn't act on it until it popped up while scrolling on Amazon. In general, I was disappointed by the lack of detail in the Robots universe, it just didn't feel as alive as I recalled. I was also surprised to discover the bar scene I recalled so fondly was nearly nonexistent. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the plot. The overall themes of fighting for the working man and achieving your dreams are lovely, and great fodder for a children's film. Similarly, the voice acting is superb and all the familiar voices, from Ewan McGregor to Robin Williams, made me feel at home,. The character design also is easy on the eyes, and the bright colors are soothing like a baby's pacifier. All in all, a quality film. 23/27 oil cans.

My family loves this movie, perfect for a family movie night! It’s funny and thrilling. It arrived fast (with prime) & was not damaged! I definitely recommend and I’m usually skeptical about buying physical movies on amazon because I’ve a lot of bad experiences but this was really good.

Can you guess whose voices you are listening to?
Verified purchase
What can I say about Robots? Everyone loves Robin Williams, Mel Brooks, Halle Berry, Ewan McGregor, etc. There are a lot of big name stars whose voices are used. A lot of them you can recognize by just hearing them. Some of them, you have to wait until you see the credits at the end. Then, you just want to watch it again. It's a really cute movie with a good lesson for kids (like all good kid stories). But it's not just for kids. My husband and I watch it all the time, and we don't have any kids at home. It's a lot of fun to watch. If you want to watch a movie that just takes you away from all of today's problems and seriousness, this is the one.

It's Robin Williams at his manic best. There really is nothing more I can say except that everyone should not just watch this buy should own a copy so they can watch it again and again, whenever they are having a bad time. It's fabulous for all ages.

Interesting concept, good message
Verified purchase
Crazy, kinda of frantic movie. Has a good message and the robot designs are interesting. Robin Williams is Robin Williams as the voice of one of the robots. Some of the jokes were flat, some were recycled and some seemed inappropriate, but over all not a bad movie.
