Sex & Drugs & Rock’en Roll - what else is new ...

Good premise - old story line - one seeks fame & fortune - gets it - entrapped by it - then bails when its not what one anticipated what it was supposed to be ... sigh - went into this movie with zero expectations & wasn’t disappointed - there isn’t ANYTHING in this movie thats notable the storyline is the same sad story of every other rock film thats come out. The acting is flat & uninspiring ... was a good waste of time one afternoon when I had some downtime to kill & a couple of beers to empty ....

The music in this is pretty damn good even if you don't like metal. The artists do a nice job of capturing the sound of the big hair era. The story gets a bit cheesy but this movie is definitely better than most rock and roll movies and is much better than Rock of Ages. There was some real potential here to explore the rock star lifestyle but the writers went with the easy conventions. Could have been a really good "dark" movie if they had taken a few chances. There are some really good moments in this movie and the performances are solid.

Phenomenal acting & they hit the 1980’s with PERFECTION! Phenomenal from lighting, cameras & every single part & person needed to make this movie as great as it is! It is definitely a group effort of phenomenal talent & so enjoyable! Well written & well directed!

Guilty pleasure

This is a frankly terrible movie. It’s a dumb plot I hate the ending and it really does very little to showcase the talents of the actors. On the other hand the music is great! And having lived through this time and also being in music myself, I can’t help but enjoy it.

I've read Mark didn't like doing the movie but he was great for the type of movie it was.

I watch it at least once a year - a great story to remind you to do your own thing! Aaaaand as an 80's metal lover....they ROCK! I call it the Spinal Tap with Aniston and Wahlberg!
