I think it really resonates with my son because he can relate to Rocket. He has been learning how to read, just like Rocket. And he does a lot of writing in first grade and goes through the same process Rocket does trying to come up with subject matter and editing his work.
The story is wonderful and relatable. The illustrations are bright, clear, and engaging. I highly recommend this book and it's companion, Rocket Learns to Read.
