Aiden really loves his job here with Beckett, unfortunately his work visa is expiring and it doesn't look like he'll be able to get it renewed. This is especially disturbing since he wants to stay and he wants a chance to be more than a friend to Tiana.

Tiana is very protective of Ella more so than ever since the truth of her ex Brian has come to light. In this book she has another problem, Ella's father, Evan, the musician who left them high and dry now wants his parental rights. By paying back child support he will also be able to meet Ella. We get to meet Lizzie, Tiana's aunt who is quite the character. She gives us plenty of insight into their lives. Tiana also has a meeting with Evan prior to the visitation which will supervised by a court advocate. The meeting went well but it would still be Ella's decision.

You know of course things never go totally smooth, right? Aiden has a meeting with his lawyer and Tiana has one with hers since they are both in the same place they travel to Portland together. Ella is dropped off to a friend's home for a long anticipated birthday party/sleep over.

Neither meeting was what they expected and to top things off an earthquake hits while they're in the elevator leaving. Did I mention all hell breaks loose?

Plenty of interesting events as Aiden and Tiana make their way home. Tense moments, added suspense and a whole lot of romance and tears.

I think this was my favorite of this series, well at least until I read the latest.

But when the sexy as sin Scotsman, Aiden MacIntyre managed to sneak past her walls. She knew she was a goner.

Aiden MacIntyre, a former Royal Marine was captivated by the beautiful and independent redhead Tiana Fitzgerald from the moment he laid eyes on her. She got under his skin but she kept pushing him away whenever he tried to get closer to her.

Now someone from her past was out to hurt her and he wasn't about to let that happened. He was willing to give his life to keep her and Ella safe. They'd stolen his heart and he wouldn't want it any other way.

The three of them faced some obstacles before becoming what they were meant to be...a family. It was great to see the Crimson Point gang in action again one last time. Having Tiana and Ella surprise Aidan with the help of his family was beautifully done. It was HEAs all around for him and his brothers in arms.

ROCKY GROUND is the fourth installment in Kaylea Cross' CRIMSON POINT series. It was beautiful, captivating, adventurous and oh so irresistible. It's sad to see this series end but it was a delight treat to be a part of this amazing journey. Magnificent job by Kayla Cross. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great ending to a great series

This is without question the best book of the series. I didn't know how Ms. Cross would be able to top book 3 but she did. It was a great ending to a great series. OMG Aiden is a superhero! There are two dramatic scenes that are expertly written and a beautiful HEA ending. Wonderful characters--Walter and Ella especially. Everything you could ask for in a romance/suspense novel.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this series, especially looking back. I have been on a romance kick for the past year and have read dozens of them. I was looking for something with more substance than the trite, banal, basic romance and I found it in this series. This is my first series from this author--her descriptions of dramatic scenes and development of her characters is excellent, and I love that she includes characters from her previous books in each subsequent one. Most series basically drop the previous couples once they have gotten together and I would really like to continue their story too, so I appreciate how much we see them through the whole series. Once I got over the degree of violence in the stories and knew what to expect I fully enjoyed them.

This was my favorite book of the series. Aidan, the yummy alpha Scot is a great male lead. We know Tiana from previous books. Her lousy judgement when it comes to men is a valid reason for this protective single mother to shy away from romance.

Ms. Cross has done a great job of creating realistic characters throughout the series. One of my favorites is Ella, Tiana's young daughter. It's also fun to see how the lead characters from previous books are doing.

Give yourself half a day to be caught up in a great read. Make sure to read the books in order for the best experience.

Rocky Ground is an action packed return to Crimson Point as Tiana, her sweet daughter Ella and the sexy Scot and Royal Marine Mac take centre stage. In a story that takes place partly during an earthquake and tsunami, and sees not just Tiana and Mac in danger, but the rest of the Crimson Pointers too.

But an earthquake/tsunami isn't the only problem Tiana faces as a possible trial looms for her ex-boyfriend Brian and Ella's dad is back on the scene and wanting contact possibly even custody.

Yet, the sexy Scot is on-hand to ease Tiana's worries and bring a smile to Ella's face. And with a sweet romance, plenty of edge-of-your-seat moments as well as a little suspense, I was hooked, and am looking forward to reading book five.

Despite some low reviews, I bought this book. Wish I hadn't. Not up to authors usual standard. Authors note at beginning of book, says last in series. It isn't. The quake was over the top and so easily overcome. Very disappointing was the amount of heat in inopportune moments. Loads of it. I can't see a small child outrun an adult. Loads more unrealistic things happened. It felt shallow and forced. I skip read loads. Not something I normally do when reading books by this author. Fair number of typos. Spoiler. Macs statement 're green card at end cheapness the occasion and made it seem that's the only reason he was getting together with tianna.

I enjoyed this last book in the series so much! Tiana and Aiden had a great chemistry and little Ella has been a sweet and humorous fixture in this series since the beginning. This story was full of dramatic twists and turns that were both surprising and exhilarating and made for some 'edge of your seat' reading. The story was also sweet and romantic and made a really lovely end to the Crimson Point series!
