I loved this story. What a imagination the author has to produce such a combination of characters and scenarios of which I haven't read in so long. And I am a avid reader of all styles. Sometimes I can become very bored with a book and not complete it because of lack of anything that grasps my interest in it. But, not this story line. Sure there were a few sections and choices this author wrote that I did not agree with but I won't tell. Spoiler alert and all that. Read these books and maybe you will see. I truly can't wait to read more by him.

One thing I generally like about this author's stories is that the protagonists don't go through the stories magically making the right choices time after time. They actually screw up a lot, as the main character in these two books does. He goes through a lot of pain and trials, and gets a mostly good ending, though he is not unscarred by all he experiences. I like this because it made the story seem more real to life than other books where everything goes the way of the main character. I hope you'll give these books a try and enjoy them, because I did.

For me this was vastly different from his previous books. Logan had to make decisions that effected the lives and deaths of many thousands of different species which was so hard for me and brought such guilt for him to live with. This book was so different for him to deal with. I loved this one as I have the others and am so excited to see there will be another one continues the adventures of Logan and his family that were finally reunited miraculously.

At first I was not sure I would like a first party book, however, the more I read the more I liked it. It kept me on the edge and reading more each day. I could not wait to get a chance sit and read more and wondering what was going to happen next. I wish there were more books in the series like maybe Logan and his family going to Mars or life afer the war ended. Overall I give this series a thumbs up and five stars.

This is the first modern science fiction author I have read in the past 5 years that actually writes as well as Golden Age sci first authors like Bob Heinlein, Andre Norton and Poul Anderson wrote. I definitely recommend it for adult mature readers. The plot best unfolds as you read it so I won't spoil it here ..just enjoy it!

I liked that this "post apocalyptic" story was positive. It wasn't terribly grim like others. It needs another chapter, though. I'm not sure about the rogue star even though Scott explained his thinking in the epilogue.

Did the rogue star pull our entire system or just Earth?

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I highly recommend.

This book is so packed with action and adventure that I could not put it down! It is totally unique as Jasper Scott's books always are. This book concludes the story, for which I'm glad because I didn't want to have to wait weeks before getting the next one. Logan goes through unbelievable changes in this story in his quest to understand and try to solve the dilemma that the world is in because of the Rogue Star and the aliens. A great read!

I enjoyed the first book in the series but didn’t love it. The story was unique enough and the pacing sufficiently brisk for me to read it quickly and be curious to read more. The sequel however I didn’t feel followed too well. The author has an incredible imagination and within this story one is thrown from one situation to the next without any real sense of purpose. After an hour one has read so many encounters that the protagonist has be trussed into, that it hard to keep it all straight. Through all the twists ands turns in the plot the ending was very unsatisfying.

If you read part 1 and you are curious about what happens next, this book will be read quickly although you may be left feeling a little flat. If on the other hand you don’t chose to follow on, you have missed little.
