Romance Under Aquarius was a quick romance read that I was looking for! With 4 different view points throughout the book, romance and heartbreak Danielle kept you turning the page and never wanting to put the book down.
Follow Maris through her journey of love, finding herself and saving her “hometown”. Maris and her best friend Pasha, her fiance Ryn and a new found friend Kasper, all take on an adventure together to save Kasper’s brother. Can they solve the mystery, without hurting each other, or keeping their heart safe?
While some of the actions of the main characters makes it hard for you as the reader to like them, overall you become very dedicated and protective over each one. I was a little skeptical of seeing a romance novel written about non-humans (mermaids) and a human, but Danielle did not disappoint. I also loved how each chapter stated qualities of an Aquarius, something that I did not know much about.
While there were many good qualities to the story, there were some flaws. The major one that stuck out to me was how quick things happened. For example (without giving out too many spoilers), another character hurt the main character. The main character would be hurt, but then a few paragraphs later she is over it. No explanation or process of how she was okay over something so big. There were also a few timing issues. As a reader you would have sworn a couple weeks passed, even the way things were described/written it seemed like a few weeks passed. Then all of a sudden, it was only a day, or a night. Which left me thinking, what did I miss?
Overall I really enjoyed reading my first mermaid book, and can’t wait to read other books by Danielle and the 11 stand alone books of this series.

This was an interesting book and it didn't take long to read. This book follows four people, three of which reside in or near Atlantis and a human. Maris is the princess and is betrothed to another royal named Ryn. Ryn is looking forward to being the next king, but he is in love with Pasha who is the best friend to Maris. A sticky situation that gets even stickier when Maris saves a human named Kasper. Kasper in on a quest go find the jug of Aquarius which he hopes will rid his brother of cancer. How far will Kasper go to find this mythical item? Will Maris return to fulfill her duties and marry the cheating Ryn? Will Pasha get the courage to walk away from Ryn? The author gave us a different perspective from each character which I normally find messy in a book. The different perspectives worked well and were seamless in transition. The story kept a good flow without feeling like there were pieces missing. I saw that this is a series of 12 book and I am interested to see what the next book will be about.

This was a decent book. I absolutely loved the storyline! But I had a few issues with this one. First of all, Maris forgave Pasha way too fast to me. I could never. Saying it like this to avoid spoilers, anyway. The story was very fast paced. And while it made this a very quick read, everything felt super rushed and some parts of the plot just kind of ran together to mebecause of that. I feel like if it was slowed down just a tad it would have made the plot better. I loved the mermaid and human aspect! I rarely see novels about mermaids so this was definitely refreshing and I enjoyed that. So while I really want to rate this higher I just can't because of my frustration with some of the characters, because I really wanted to shake some sense into them, lol!

A wonderful story of four young beings who go out on an adventure to save the brother of one of their group. I got hooked into the story fairly quickly and enjoyed the many aspects the author incorporated into the story like mermaids, paranormal beings, and so much more. I’ve always been interested in astrology so it was fitting to begin reading this book. The story kept me interested and I had a hard time putting the book down. I have read a book or two by this author before and this one didn’t disappoint. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I’m grateful that I got to read this book , not my normal scene and what a refreshing read it was after the tense week of reading I had , was emotionally done but my bibliophile heart and quiver was full ❤️📕😉

The cover art is just beautiful and in between the pages you get transported to magical places with magical beings ….

There’s such a mix going on of mythology, astrology and mere folk then added to it is romance , drama , secrets , truths

When I first saw this book, I couldn't stop looking at the cover! It was what caught my eye. The story is what kept me around though. It was different in a good way. It had astrology and some merfolk too! I loved reading the story from different the characters perspective. I don't get to read stories like that very often so that was a nice treat. All of the main characters were likeable and I enjoyed the bit of romance that this story had as well. This story is part of a multi author series and I am excited to read more stories in this world!
I would recommend this story to a friend!

Romance Under Aquarius is a story from the four-point of view of Maris and her best friend, fiance, and a stranger named Kasper. The first three are the occupants of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis and come together with Kasper to start an adventure to save Kasper’s brother. This adventure lands them in a lot of unlikely scenarios that they need to navigate their way out of. All of the characters are well-written and multi-dimensional. I instantly liked Maris and the lovable rogue, Kasper. I never came around to liking Ryn or Pasha. With the way the story starts, I just could not find it in my heart to feel anything positive towards either of them. This story is based on the qualities of the zodiac sign of Aquarius and every chapter displays those qualities beautifully. Romance Under Aquarius was a charming romance story. It wasn’t too intense but very fulfilling. The entire story kept me entertained and smiling.

Fun, easy read romance with mermaids and mermen, a treasure hunt and the lost City of Atlantis.

Being an Aquarian myself, I enjoyed the history and legends of the Water Bearer and their associated Zodiac traits given throughout (many of which are very accurate for me).

The concept of story was fascinating although perhaps it did all happen a bit quickly and easily, but the four main characters did develop throughout and came into their own by the end.

Romance Under Aquarius by Danielle Jacks is her contribution to a multi-author collaboration- the first instalment in the Stargazing series, the new series of 12 standalone stories that all use the same theme as inspiration.
Romance Under Aquarius is different to anything that I have read from Danielle Jacks before, and I was captivated by the gorgeous cover even before I knew anything about the story, or series.
This is a wonderful paranormal romance incorporating the zodiac, Atlantis, some mythology, mermaids, a bit of a quest for treasure, friendship, true love, sacrifice, adventure, and chemistry.
We get a multi-character perspective that adds to the depth and overall intrigue of the story. I enjoyed how the added perspectives gave the story extra layers and complexity. I couldn’t help but become invested in the characters and the outcome of their stories.
I will definitely be exploring more of this series as the instalments are released. And as always, I am looking forward to seeing what Ms. Jacks has in store for us next.
