A ROMANTIC FOR ROSE is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are sexy scenes if that is an issue for you. Rose is the youngest of the 3 Bloom sisters. Raised by a single mother until she was killed by a hit and run driver. Then their mother's boss in the flower shop proposed an arrangement for the oldest girl to keep their small family together. They were like his daughters and having no family he took care of them. Now they are all grown, have college behind them, and they are making their way in the world.
This is Rose's story. Rose is the hardest sister to get a take on. She is a hard nut to crack. She doesn't care for all the frills in life. She creates jewelry and that is her passion. She wants to get her line successful enough that she can feel like she is pulling her own weight in the sister's company. She has also reached a point where she is going to make a move on the family lawyer. They have been dancing around each other for years and she has decided now is the time for her to move if he is not doing to.
Rose is not an easy person to get to know or to keep happy but Thomas feels he can handle the job but it is not going to be easy. Thomas took over the law firm when his dad semi-retired. So he inherited the 3 sisters as their lawyer. He has always crushed on Rose but she never gave any sign she was interested. Until now.
This is a standalone read and you won't be lost if you have not read the other 2 books in the series. It would give you a clearer picture to read them first but you don't have to. The girls have a troubled childhood going into young adulthood. Rose is more effected than the two older sisters. She feels a lot of guilt where there father is concerned. Plus her personality is just a simple girl that lives and lets live. She doesn't date a lot as she doesn't trust men. She turns all her energy into creating and making jewelry.
This is a good love story. Not an easy one but still one filled with fun. There is drama in the story as several side stories work themselves out. I really enjoyed this story and found it to be entertaining as well as informative. Good read.
