Action, suspense and sizzling heat!! The author swept me away to North Dakota and I never wanted to leave.

Grace and her father are being hunted, so they went on the run for their lives. Her father is also sick, so it makes fleeing that much more challenging. When they finally make a pit stop in a small town of Dallas, North Dakota, their luck is about to take a turn.

Ridge is a formidable mountain of a man. He was running too. He exited from his pretentious life in LA, for the simple life of being a rancher after Hollywood took more from him that he was willing to give. Now he wants some peace and quiet or maybe he just needs a purpose.

Ridge spots Grace and her dad in the bar and decides to step in when they needed a bit of rescuing, he takes them into his home just to get them through the night. However, a huge snow storm gets in their way and now they are hunkered down to weather the storm until the roads can clear.

Ridge senses that Grace and her dad Nelson could use some help. He's willing to take whatever risks necessary to protect them. Both Ridge and Grace carry scars. Together they will fight to take back their lives and maybe fall in love in the process.

This story had great characters! A special recognition goes to Cornelius Pecker!! I was completely immersed in this small town, romantic suspense. Ridge was a take charge guy with a filthy mouth (so HOTTT!). That man was irresistible and it wasn't long before Grace was no longer able to resist him! These two will literally set your kindle on FIRE!!! Once they connected, they were unstoppable. There was action and suspense to keep you flipping those pages long into the night. My favorite book to date by the author. I am loving this new series an I am looking forward to more of the series.

What If Elvis Lived in North Dakota?

Does the idea of an avatar of Elvis coming to the rescue of a woman, her father, and two horses appeal to you? If so, this is your book.

Ridge Barnet is a reclusive billionaire. A Hollywood star from his diaper days on, he is fantastically handsome, plus his singing voice can capably cover Elvis's hit songs. His most rebellious act was joining the military, where he acquired many skills and a group of friends who always have his back and can handle any situation. Sound familiar? I think there is a whole subset of reclusive-billionaires-with-military-friends books.

Ridge and Grace hold off for a while because of the slavering, maniacal villains trying to capture Grace, but when the two of them give in to their attraction, there is non-stop sex. Along with hearty lust, they have great stamina, achieving 6 sessions per night. That's a lot of pages devoted to sex acts. I looked forward to times when the story shifted briefly to Tobin, Ridge's preternaturally calm and stoic valet.

The story is, of course, a fairy tale at heart. The question remains--is it your type of fairy tale? It isn't mine--I've seen variations of this one too many times.

New series introducing characters in Dallas, North Dakota. Love that Ms. Snow will mention people from other books. So cool. Like Enguard Security, Milah Holly, and Drake with Bella from “Accidental Knight” not to mention the events in “No White Knight.” I’m sure there were others which I just didn’t catch…
If you like steamy, alpha male, strong female and “fake” story-lines, read this book! Grace is 25yo and running from her home with her dad because bad people are after them. During a blizzard they stop to get food and time to reboot when one of the bad guys enters the bar. His attack on Grace is stopped by the local newbie and former movie star, 33yo Ridge Barnet. This begins a train of events which will keep you spellbound. There is a touch of humor from our alpha, Ridge and his cocky rooster, Cornelius Pecker, who is his animal counterpart, they are both all “look at me and hear me crow!” Ridge is sweet about it at least.
I love how Ms. Snow keeps the tension going just enough to keep the reader desiring completion;-) I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes highly recommended. Can’t wait for more from Dallas, North Dakota. Definitely more than 5 steamy starry stars.

No real potential triggers.
The characterisation is absolutely sublime. I was invested in both lead characters from the first page, my heart ached for her, while his character blew me away the more we got to know him.
There are no grammatical or editorial errors, the book is flawless. There is totally the right balance of show and tell, it has everything you could ever want, sadness, hilarity, loving sex and a plotline to die for.
I will be purchasing the next book in this series, in fact, I'm downloading it immediately. If you like suspense, action and a HEA written in faultless detail, this is the book for you.

Not only is this story dramatic and suspenseful, with Ridge being one swoon worthy hero, I was drawn into this gripping tale of hope, salvation and love.

I wasn’t expecting such a story. The emphasis on the suspense part was unexpected but still welcome.

The FMC was likable and relatable. She’d been dealt a lot but showed good spirits.

The MMC was ok though I had a bit of a problem with him.

As a couple they could have been a bit more. I’m not sure what but something was missing there for me.

All in all an okay read from Nicole Snow.

PS : I didn’t find it as hilariously funny as the blurb made it sound and found it to be quite serious apart from the rebel horse who stole the show a few times.

There was drama, death threats, kidnapping, assault, drugs and guns you name it the bad guys were bad. It was a good book and you won’t be disappointed, I recommend this book 👍

Absolutely adored Grace and Ridge. They were so meant to be. They had had so much heartache between them they deserved all the happiness in the world.
Really happy her Dad seemed to be finding his happiness with Jackie.
Love these new guys coming into this series of books. Nice to see Drake and Bella appear again....not forgetting Edison too.
