An OK movie with a lot of sketchy 5 star reviews

I decided to watch this after seeing it on rotten tomatoes with 95% critic score and 100% audience score. The one review on Amazon should have told me to research a little more as I was expecting something groundbreaking, which this was not.
Let me get to it. It seems really low budget, but the acting was probably pretty ok. I don't understand Korean but the body language was convincing.
There were questionable portions of fight scenes where like a guy with a knife would stop swinging so the other guy could do moves on him. I haven't seen a camera pan away from something due to lack of special effects since the 90s. That said, when the main guy is beating people up it's pretty incredible. The sounds make you really feel like that dude hits like a freight train and how he punches makes it look believable for the most part. I feel like if that guy punched me with the same windup and force that he'd cave my chest in.
It's worth a watch.

Wow..I'm blown away, i'm officially a fan of the Crime City Series.

Just like the first movie (The Outlaw) this one has a simple yet entertaining story, great old fashioned action scenes, so many hilarious parts and totally awesome.

Easily one of the best movie i've seen this year.

Don Lee is such a great actor, been a fan of him since train to Busan. He definitely became one of my favorite movie cop and one of the coolest, if not the coolest. Can't wait for the next sequel, overall great movie.

If you haven't seen the first one , you should. But you don't have to to enjoy this movie. Both are Awesome movies! This movie has more of all the good things from the first. Humor, and lots of action. I think Korean movies are the best movies made . Even the extras are immersed in their parts.

Don Lee has developed a character who is resourceful and hard to keep down by robbers or cops. this detective crew is fun to watch, since they actually seem to like each other. time passes too quickly; fights are realistic, humor is present. Truly worth Your while.

Korean action at it's best!

Listen, don't tell my husband, but I have a crush on Don Lee!! He is the best South Korean action star in my opinion. If you are looking for a tender romance .....this is not the movie for you. This is action from start to finish with Don Lee doing what he does best....beating up the bad guys! Be warned though, there is a fair amount of violence in this movie, so if you're squeamish, you may find yourself looking away at times.

Action! Action! Action!

Action from start to finish. Don Lee never disappoints. He's going hard to the body and ringing bells. The villain is insane. Son Suk-ku (Gu from My Liberation Notes) is definitely good at being bad. Great plot with really good supporting characters. I could watch it again.
