A book this informative should be a crime!
Taking over the world is a lot of work. Any supervillain is bound to have questions: What’s the perfect location for a floating secret base? What zany heist will fund my wildly ambitious plans? How do I control the weather, destroy the internet, and never, ever die?
Bestselling author and award-winning comics writer Ryan North has the answers. In this introduction to the science of comic-book supervillainy, he details a number of outlandish villainous schemes that harness the potential of today’s most advanced technologies. Picking up where How to Invent Everything left off, his explanations are as fun and elucidating as they are completely absurd.
You don’t have to be a criminal mastermind to share a supervillain’s interest in cutting-edge science and technology. This book doesn’t just reveal how to take over the world—it also shows how you could save it. This sly guide to some of the greatest threats facing humanity accessibly explores emerging techniques to extend human life spans, combat cyberterrorism, communicate across millennia, and finally make Jurassic Park a reality.
"How to Invent Everything is such a cool book. It's essential reading for anyone who needs to duplicate an industrial civilization quickly." --Randall Munroe, xkcd creator and New York Times-bestselling author of What If?
The only book you need if you're going back in time
What would you do if a time machine hurled you thousands of years into the past. . . and then broke? How would you survive? Could you improve on humanity's original timeline? And how hard would it be to domesticate a giant wombat?

Bestselling author and time-travel enthusiast Ryan North shows you how to invent all the modern conveniences we take for granted--from first principles. This illustrated manual contains all the science, engineering, art, philosophy, facts, and figures required for even the most clueless time traveler to build a civilization from the ground up. Deeply researched, irreverent, and significantly more fun than being eaten by a saber-toothed tiger, How to Invent Everything will make you smarter, more competent, and completely prepared to become the most important and influential person ever. You're about to make history. . . better.

With her unique combination of wit, empathy and squirrel powers, computer-science student Doreen Green is all that stands between the Earth and total destruction. Well, Doreen plus her friends Tippy-Toe (a squirrel) and Nancy (a regular human). So mainly Squirrel Girl. Then what hope does Earth have if she gets hurled back in time and erased from history? Some hope, hopefully, as Howard the Duck is waiting impatiently for a crossover! If that animal encounter isn't enough, prepare for Swarm, a buzzkill made of bees, and Mole Man, the subterranean super villain looking for love! But you're not here for flowers and kissing, you're all about computer science and super heroics. Get both - and more - in a showdown with Count Nefaria! You go, Squirrel Girl!
Squirrel Girl takes on none other than…Kang the Conqueror! It’s a battle for the ages across space and time as Kang attacks Doreen Green in three distinct eras! And if that isn’t cosmic enough for you, what would you say to Squirrel Girl jumping headfirst into the War of the Realms?! When Doreen’s good pal Loki recruits her as part of a secret mission, you might wonder whether he’s up to something. And he probably is — he’s the God of Lies, after all. But this isn’t Doreen’s first Asgardian rodeo! And whose side is her old nemesis, the Asgardian chaos squirrel god, Ratatoskr, on in this insane conflict? Get ready to experience Squirrel Girl’s first big event crossover — and don’t miss the shocking reveal that’s been in the works for literal years! Collecting UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL (2015B) #42-46.
When Shakespeare wrote Hamlet he gave the world just one possible storyline, drawn from a constellation of billions of alternate narratives. And now you can correct that horrible mistake! Play as Hamlet and avenge your father's death—with ruthless efficiency this time. Play as Ophelia and change the world with your scientific brilliance. Play as Hamlet's father and die on the first page, then investigate your own murder… as a ghost! Featuring over 100 different endings, each illustrated by today's greatest artists, incredible side quests, fun puzzles, and a book-within-a-book instead of a play-within-a-play, To Be or Not To Be offers up new surprises and secrets every time you read it.

Now, as the world goes mad and the Avengers attack, Squirrel Girl must face Ratatoskr, the Norse God of Squirrels! There's a theme in this book, I don't know if you can tell. The fate of the world hangs in the balance, though, we promise. Featuring fights! Feelings! Sass! Punches! Friendship! A character named Hippo who is literally a hippo!
