There are strange guests in Cynthia’s garden, and they come bearing gifts. While gardening one morning, Cynthia finds a strange trinket left near the porch: a bouquet of wildflowers, joined by an antique silver ring. Curiously, the gift is presented to her by a crow. Soon there are more gifts, and more birds, and it isn’t long before their charming affection transforms into an alarming display of obsession. The gifts grow more elaborate and macabre, and the crows, it seems, can be quite jealous. Yet there is something about the birds and their bizarre behavior that reminds Cynthia of the husband she lost five years ago, forcing her to revisit painful memories and opening old wounds she has worked hard to heal. “They’re messengers,” her husband said once of the crows that lingered around the property. “What do you think they’re trying to tell us?”
A desert roadhouse becomes the place of ultimate survival as a young couple retaliates against its spiraling web of lost memories. A cursed board game waits patiently in a midnight attic for the only girl to ever escape its deadly ending. A no-nonsense veterinarian uses the tools of her trade to seek bloody vengeance on those who wronged her.

Ascendancy: a horror novella.
For out-of-work journalist Terry Barnes, opportunity is hard to come by. But when news of an armed protest set to clash with the National Guard comes his way, he sees a chance to get the scoop on one hell of a story. But there’s a catch: everything is set to go off just as a massive hurricane makes landfall along the Florida coast. Further complicating things, Terry’s teenage daughter, Amy, didn’t catch a ride out of town like she was supposed to, and now Terry’s attention is torn between his daughter’s safety and a story that could be his ticket back into business.
With the hurricane coming ashore and the surge ripping through the city, Terry will learn there are more dangerous things than the storm itself. There’s something in the water—something that isn’t human—and this new threat will turn the storm’s survivors against one another in a frantic bid for survival where no one knows who to trust.
A hurricane and an angry militia, a government crackdown, and now an unknown horror from the deep, newly risen and determined to spread.
It’s one hell of a story. But will anyone live long enough to tell it?
A horror novel: occult, disturbing, adult.
Revised and expanded edition.
Aaron Williams takes comfort in his routine, eager to keep his own troubled history in the past where it belongs. But what seems like a chance encounter with a girl named Laura causes Aaron to question everything he thought he knew: the history of the small town he calls home, his friends and family, his unsettling dreams and undeniable attraction to Laura—even himself.
In search of answers Aaron discovers there is another world just beyond the walls of sleep, a twisted mirror of his own that feeds on the fear and pain of those who become lost there. When those horrors begin to bleed into the waking world, the results are lethal.
When Laura goes missing Aaron turns to a vigilante group for help, but their dangerous methods reveal a sinister secret: a reclusive order seeks to awaken a malevolent presence—an evil that wears a familiar face.
Sweet Dreams for Laura is a twisting narrative spanning the experiences of multiple characters, blending elements of psychological horror, the paranormal, and urban fantasy to create a work of fiction with a single, disturbing purpose: to get beneath the skin and stay there long after the final page is turned.
