One mistake can ruin your life

My brain is on high alert, tense and half-listening for the slightest sound from above. The other half is obsessed with her hand on the knife. I’m not scared, not really. Vicky is crazy, and she’s hurting, but she’s harmless. She’d never hurt me; she just needs to vent.

It's long past midnight and Vicky is drunk again. By morning, she's dead in a pool of blood on her best friend's kitchen floor. It was an accident but the police won't believe it, and neither will anyone else. Another solution needs to be found.  

This dark and nightmareish tale shows just how easy it is to lose everything by refusing to let go.

Humanity has moved on from the Earth, leaving nothing behind but mud, mines, and the insane.

Mullen doesn't want to leave the comfort of Mars to go on holiday to humanity's birthplace, but Hannah does. She's an Earth fanatic, and Mullen is a Hannah fanatic, and so they go. 

On their first night, an enormous storm knocks out the power and their tour guide disappears, leaving them and other tourists stranded on an ancient, abandoned railway platform.

Soon, Mullen is forced to decide just how far he will go for the woman he has loved all of his life.
