Not a terrible story but predictable. It felt like something thrown together to meet a deadline - not a finely crafted or adequately edited piece. Someone REALLY needs to do a MUCH better job of proofreading. Lots of missing little connecting words, Mimi was called Amy later in the book, ed word endings where it should have been es, odd word choices ?who ever heard of cascading UP a hill? Out of sequence action - he tucks a handgun in the waistband of his pants and then changes his underwear? Upon the first meeting of the hero and protagonist the hero (a SEAL) doesn't notice a seven foot snake wrapped around the guys neck? The action concludes with the death of the 'evil' guy and no description of how? Just unfinished and sketchy. This is my only experience with this author. I was reading the series. Not impressed....

Normally a fan of this author, I felt like she was in a rush to write this in a couple hours, rather than take any time to develop characters of the story. Such a disappointing start to this series!! I have never reviewed any book I've read but in this case, I just couldn't let it go without saying something. I feel like I was taken advantage of as a fan of this genre, as if we don't care about quality writing.

I bought this book because I like adventure and intrigue novels with a little romance. Plus when I read part of the first chapter they had me at Maud the rooster. But I found after that the storyline went downhill fast. I found the plot not plausible, especially the age difference between the main characters. And I found the editing, grammatical errors, poor sentence structure and the number of misspelled words very distracting. I do not believe this book is worth reading.

I couldn't finish this book even though I tried. Mimi knows Tierney from when he came to console the family when Mimi's father was KIA when she was only 14 years old. She compares him to her father, and how he comforted her. She then elaborates that she thought about him all those years since she saw him last. The whole thing just has a creep factor. She is attracted to him because he reminds her of her father? And then there isn't really any chemistry between them. Just all of a sudden he cant keep his hands off her? Too many holes in this story.

I absolutely love this book! This new series features couples that experience a second chance at love, or for some, love a little bit later in life than most. Either way, it’s a different spin on hot romance!

Garrett has served his time with the teams and is now settling down to a quieter life until his buddy, Silas calls and now, his life will never be the same. Garrett has the normal age related problems with his body and his attitude toward life and women which makes his story more relatable. Mimi is the young daughter of Garrett’s best friend who died in his arms while on a mission. Mimi has never forgotten Garrett’s warm comfort during that life-changing time for both of them.

This story revs up quickly and sucks you in from the very beginning and stays constant throughout. It definitely doesn’t disappoint in action and adventure. I love the descriptions of the other team members all of which have a heinz variety of skill sets. This story is also very heartwarming when dealing with the young females involved and carries that feel good factor as well. Oh, and don’t forget, this story has a whole lot of hotness to satisfy voracious readers.

I am thrilled for these talented, fantastic authors coming together writing this new series. It is exciting and unique which sets it apart from all the others.

I really hate to give bad reviews but can’t help it with this book. While the plot is ok, it has been done many times. Who hasn’t read a plot line about the president’s daughter (wife,etc) being kidnapped by some radical group? The relationship between the hero and heroine is slightly incestuous as hero is heroine’s father’s best friend. There is at least 20 years between the two.
The most egregious problem with this short story is the editing. It is really terrible. Half the time you are not sure what is going on or who is talking or about whom the author is writing. There are parts of the story that make no sense or are very confusing. I won’t be spending any more money on this series.

I loved the blurb, and the model on the cover is hot as hell, so it didn't take a lot of convincing to pre-order this book. Not to mention, I'm definitly a Sharon Hamilton fan.
I loved the heat between Mimi and Garrett, and their connection played out well. The suspense/action arc kept things going at a pretty steady clip, and made for a page turner.
The reason for four stars instead of five is primarily due to the missed editing/proofreading opportunities. There was also a point in the story where I was like, "really?!". I'm pretty sure having sex in the middle of an op isn't great SOP. Then again, I don't read romance because it's realistic.
All-in-all, this is a good read, and I wasn't disappointed. I'll definitly be checking out the other books in the series.

This is book two in the Silver Seals Series and it's sensational . Former Seal commander Garrett Tierney is ask to lead a new DHS multi agency task force (Bone Frog Command) .The future of the task force is depending on the outcome of the mission . The Presidents family
are in danger . Their teenage daughter Georgette has gone missing . While Garrett is putting his team together . He is shocked to find the daughter of his best friend who died in his arms years ago . She is all grown up and beautiful . Not only smart but she is Georgette's teacher . She's included as a team member as she may have insight into Georgette's life .
Garrett is attracted to Mimi and the attraction is mutual . They must put it aside till they finish the mission . Things get intense and very dangerous as they infiltrate the cult to rescue those being held and stop the cults disastrous plans . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Unlike most of Sharon Hamilton's other books I found this one a little slow to start and the beginning felt a little fragmented. Once the team was brought together the book seemed to flow better and I enjoyed the rest of the book.
Garrett and Mimi are very steamy together, combine this with the teasing banter from the rest of the team and the threat to POTUS and his family which can only have come from an internal source and there is plenty of action to keep you hooked. The first mission for Bone Frog could not be higher risk, will they succeed or will they fail at the first hurdle? Will they find the traitor? And will Garrett catch and keep the girl?
Honestly I enjoyed the prequal in this series more than this book but I think maybe I just didn’t ‘click’ with the characters, I have pre-ordered the next in the series and look forward to more Bone Frog missions.

I like the idea of these multi author book series but do normally not buy each book, I often just get the ones where I know and like the author. In this case I made an exception and do regret it. I do not really like the author’s style, that’s on me. But I really do not like Mimi. She just comes over as a totally frightened helpless female with a huge teenage crush. From remembering who is who to jumping into bed in the middle of the op is just not what I wanted to read. Her behaviour in the op was that I felt the others were babysitters not only to the victim but to her as well. She brought nothing to it. I bought it to see how the whole concept is set up and works and i really enjoyed the starter book by another author. I will stick to authors I like.
