Product Description

SABRENT 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, Slim Data USB Hub with 2 ft Extended Cable, for MacBook, Mac Pro, Mac Mini, iMac, Surface Pro, XPS, PC, Flash Drive, Mobile HDD (HB-UM43)
Features:
- Add up to 4 peripherals quickly and easily with the SABRENT 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub.
- The thin, lightweight design makes this hub a great travel companion to expand one USB 3.0 port into four.
- Especially great for notebooks which come with only a few ports in an era when you need to attach many USB devices at once, such as a printer, card reader, cell phone, iPod, thumb drive, mouse, keyboard, or an external hard drive.
- Fully backwards compatible with the USB 2.0/1.1 products. Plus, each port has its own separate power switch so you can control each port independently.
- Technology seems to advance at ever increasing speeds.
- With the recent release of SuperSpeed USB 3.0, you can now transfer data at up to 10 times the speeds of the older USB 2.0 standards!
- Speeds of 5Gbps are a vast improvement over USB 2.0 that only supports up to 480Mbps.
- The SABRENT USB 3.0 Hub is a great tool to expand a single USB 3.0 port into 4 ports, so now you can connect all of your USB devices at one time.
- Plus, its small and elegant design has been configured to be as thin as possible so as to not take up precious space as you travel.
- Yet, it is still backward compatible with your older devices, so you can still use it in conjunction with USB 2.0 devices.
System Requirements:
- Windows 11
- Windows 10
- Windows 8.1/8
- Windows 7
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP
- Linux 2.4 or Above
- Mac OS 8.6 or above
Please Note: 2.4Ghz wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard and mouse adapters, may not work in close proximity to USB 3.0 devices or hubs. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port is recommended. For a stable connection, the devices connected to the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub must not exceed a combined current of 5 volts 900 mAh. External hard-drives should be connected to an external power source. This 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub will not charge an iPad (it will only sync).

So I bought this to plug my keyboard and mouse into. The keyboard lights up but won't work at all with this device. Tried plugging my USB to Ethernet cord in it... it doesn't work.
It says it can withstand a consumption of 900mA but my keyboard Is only 500mA. Mouse consumption is only 100mA, so either I got a dud or this hub is actually USB 2.0 which can only handle up to 500mA. Either way there's some dishonesty in the advertising here.
What good is a USB hub that you can only plug one device in. You get what you pay for I guess. Sending this back asap.
I got this to connect external hard drives (Drives have their own power supplies) to my SFF PC when I encode video. I connected it, started an encode, and about 20 minutes into the encode, I heard the Windows hardware disconnect tone followed by the error tone from the next room. When I came into the room, the encoding software had thrown an File I/O error and froze. After force closing and restarting the software, I discovered the associated files had been corrupted. Thinking it was a software issue I moved to the next file and restarted the encode. This time I was working in the same room and caught the moment when the external hard drive disappeared from "Computer" and the hardware disconnect tone played again, followed again by the same File I/O Error. The drive subsequently reappeared, once again the files were corrupted. I removed the hub and only plugged the one drive I needed at this point into the PC and started the next encode, encode has been running for an hour now without issue. I haven't had any issues before installing the hub, and no issues since removing the hub. Browsing the reviews I find this is a common issue with this hub, usually blamed on moving the hub but mine was not touched anytime near when the issues occurred. I am returning this, DO NOT TRUST THIS FOR DATA TRANSFERS!
Sabrent went out of their way to quickly replace the original Hub with a new one.
The new one works great and the switches allow me to switch between USB inputs and still use a non powered hub.
The USB 3.0 speed is fantastic.
I have to commend Sabrent for their outstanding customer service in this matter.
I also find this product to be of great quality.
There will always be some duds in a product run but its how they are resolved for the customer.
Thank you Sabrent.
My old review is below.........
*************************************************************************
Causes a conflict in Windows, blue screen, for some reason.
I hooked it up with a USB 3.0 extension cable as the cable on this hub is way to short.
Now for the issue. The computer was fine before this hub was hooked up. Once hooked up late in the day it produced 2 blue screens, that is a critical Windows error message requiring a reboot. The next day it did the same thing early on. I disconnected the hub and its been fine now 3 days later. Obviously something in the hub is causing an issue with the system and the blue screen.
Now this is with nothing connected to it.
On the positive side it did allow for very fast speeds in backing up 8 gigs of files to my external hard drive with its own PS. So it does work and the switches would have been nice in that I could have left that drive hooked up and just switched off till needed.
The only thing I can figure is that something in the hub was defective and causing a sporadic short forcing the blue screen.
Now with that said I will just relegate this hub to the computer parts storage box as I do not want to risk damaging my computer.
I'll experiment with it when I get time.
Also I do use USB 2.0 hubs on both of my computers with no issues. Its just very strange.
For me it just did not work out.
that was MY FAULT. I did not realize that this was a hub and not a charger. I contacted Derek at Sabrent who apologized (even though it was not his fault, i am the silly ignorant consumer) and educated me about the different options for charging. He told me about the Sabrent Multiport charger and was able to offer that to me at a discounted rate. I sent the original hub back to amazon, but I was thoroughly impressed by Sabrent's Consumer relations and their diligence in helping an non-techy consumer. I will choose Sabrent products in the future because of their customer service.
If you are looking for a hub - get the 4 port hub
if you are looking to charge multiple devices - get the sabrent device below.

Sinceramente no entiendo esa mentalidad.

Abgesehen davon hat dieses Teil hat KEIN CE-Kennzeichen, bzw. irgendeine Art von Zertifizierung, man sollte sich also ernsthaft überlegen, ob man das benutzen will.
Für mich leider ein absoluter Fehlkauf. Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal.
