I'm enjoying these books so far. It takes a while to get over some of the logical inconsistencies in the very beginning, but they iron themselves out through the first novel. One scene of exceptional brutality in the first novel might be off-putting to some. (It does not involve any animals or "good guys," which is the only reason I was able to move past it.) This is an enjoyable escapist read.

I liked this book a lot. The growth of the main characters of Mike and his siblings. The dangers and challenges they faced getting to their safe place seemed quite real despite the zombies! I’d sure love to know someone like him when SHTF. Emma evolved into a fearless warrior. Very good story. Need to read the next book(s).

I really did not know what to expect going into this box set. I was introduced in one of the Facebook groups and I am in to this author and thought I would give it a chance. Man am I glad I did! Great characters dangerous situations, the constant threat of Rams. Christopher creates an uncomfortable setting that you can never quite relaxing even when things are going good. I like that very much in a book. Give Safe Haven a chance and I think you'll agree that it's a fantastic series!

I really enjoyed this series of books. The story is a mix of believable and not so much! The main character Mike is likeable as with all the rest. My main problem hence the 3 stars is the constant hero worshiping of Mike it gets a bit much it is constant! He apparently knows more than soldiers and is the only one with any real ideas and solutions. My other issue is that women don't seem to be able to do much either except as Mike which I found slightly insu!ting ! The characters did get a bit better near the end but it would be nice if others h ad more say a bit sooner.I know that sounds a bit negative but it was a good story just needs a bit more to the other cha r acters. Women an do a bit more than ask a man or look after children ha ha

Getting the first three in a box set was an easy decision, I knew it would be just as exciting and addictive, I would have bought the whole series as a box set if it was available. I really enjoyed reading Safe Haven Books 1-3 there is a good storyline and the plot in each book flows nicely to the next and once I had started reading it was difficult to stop hence a couple of nights where I burnt some midnight oil. A new author to me but one I will continue to follow.
