About the Author

Thomas Wentworth Higginson (December 22, 1823 – May 9, 1911) was an American Unitarian minister, author, abolitionist, and soldier.

Florence Holbrook (1860-1932) is the author of The Book of Nature Myths.

Andrew Lang (31 March 1844 – 20 July 1912) was a Scottish poet, novelist, literary critic, and contributor to the field of anthropology.

Jean Lang (1867–1932) is the author of A Book of Myths and Stories of the Border Marches, with John Lang.

Snorri Sturluson (1179-1241) was an Icelandic historian, poet, and politician. He was elected twice as a law-speaker at the Icelandic parliament, the Althing. He was the author of the Prose Edda or Younger Edda, which consists of Gylfaginning ("the fooling of Gylfi"), a narrative of Norse mythology, the Skáldskaparmál, a book of poetic language, and the Háttatal, a list of verse forms.
