Heartwarming and touching

My boyfriend asked me to purchase this movie. We looked all over the internet. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime movies! He went to High School with the Writer. We live in San Diego and it is filmed all over San Diego. So that in and of itself was really cool. I didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised and immediately drawn in. It is a beautifully told story about 3 generations of men in a family. One becoming of age in a video obsessed world and being nudged to view things differently and building an appreciation for that new world view. It is well acted and the story line and plot are terrific. Don't miss this!!

Poignant and uplifting indie film

I was skeptical at first as the movie was a bit slow to get started, but as it progressed, the movie continued to build on itself and its characters. Hal Linden was magnificent, but so was the supporting cast. It's a very touching movie that leaves the audience with a good feeling afterwards. Both the screenwriting and cinematography were above par for an indie film. In short....watch this move. You will be happy you did as the ending credits roll.

A must see

What a touching view of the complex relationships in a family. It shows the value of family stories and the wisdom held by grandparents. Hal Lindon was masterful in his role as were the young boys. This is a movie everyone should see lest we forget the atrocities of the past and repeat them.

Hal Linden, an American treasure, gives an outstanding performance , as Samuel and Ryan Ochoa, as Samuel's grandson Eli left me wanting to see more of him in future film projects! The film made me laugh at times and also cry at times and in all the right places. Brilliant!

A Must-See Movie!

The Samuel Project was a loving story between Samuel and his grandson Eli, creating a beautiful bond that they never had before. I love how Eli's Father and Grandfather understood in the end that his passion for art was important. This inspires me to go talk to some relatives and ask if they have any stories they'd like to share. I would suggest this movie to others because it has a genuine storyline and it was definitely worth it :)
