A former cop (Ricky) drives past a woman (Grace) on the side of the road who asks him for help. She talks nonstop about how excited she is to spend Thanksgiving with her family. For what should be a 20-minute drive turns into an all-day affair because Grace makes him stop several times along the way. They 'break in' to a school pool, a dance studio, and church. There was no chemistry between these characters and the acting was so contrived and wooden it was all very nauseating; it even had a hint of a 'homeless angel' thrown in! At the end of the film we learn there was no family dinner at all. Grace wanted a ride to the cemetery and 'fell in love' on the way there! Please. This movie was so stupid I cannot even believe I wasted 1.5 hours watching the whole thing.
I watched it so you don't have to. :(

Halfway, can't take it

I made it halfway, and that's all I cold take. Why do Christians have to be depicted so unrealistic and unbelievable. Grace, the supposed leading believer in God on this movie, is annoying, rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful of Rick (who is doing her a favor), nosy, talks incessantly, dishonest, a liar, etc.; and that is only halfway through the movie. It would make a non-believer think, if that is what it takes t be a Christian, 'no thanks'. As another reviewer said, this is a secular love story,, it does not promote God and Jesus; Jesus isn't mentioned at all and another review states Jesus isn't mentioned at all. To describe this movie as Inspirational and Faith-based is just wrong.

Our God's not dead he surely alive!

Only those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ could understand His faith, trust, eternal sovereignty and omniscience. Christ, the anointed one, Jesus my Savior had a plan for all of us before we were formed in our mother's womb, he knew where we would be, what we would be and how we would become that person he planned for us to be. Lord I thank you for your mercy which kept Me until your grace could save me!

It is a secular movie, and has nothing to do with the Lord. It is a misrepresentation of God and there is no mention of Jesus, it is a feel good movie like the world likes so they don't have to look at their sin or deal with scripture.

Could Have Been Better

This movie could have been so much better if some other actress had played Grace. And if she had been written better. She was annoying, nosy, pushy and you couldn't really feel her strength of faith. She is very pretty, but her acting lacked depth. She was just saying words. I admit the script wasn't the best, but Joey Lawrence is a really good actor and he made his character work. As did Muse Watson and the actress playing Rick's mom. And because the script was so weak, the main points the movie tried to stress didn't come across well. I love a good Christian movie. Unfortunately, this is not one. In my opinion, Joey Lawrence was the only thing that made the movie worth watching. He was really good.

It Wasn't Horrible.

Maybe I shouldn't have read the reviews before watching this movie. I don't know if they negatively influenced my perception. I did sense that there wasn't a smooth flow between the actor and the actress, with regards to chemistry. Their interactions just weren't convincing enough. The male actor was phenomenal, though. His facial expressions, his reactions, all were natural and convincing. He is definitely a great actor.

Then there was this sense of improbability. The driving did give the impression that the destination was in a whole other state as opposed to just on the other side of town. Grace did come off as a bit annoying and pushy. Especially at the beginning. As the movie progressed, she seemed to mellow out a bit. I found myself wondering if I would of had the patience that the actor expressed, especially under the circumstances.

The thing I liked most about this movie was the beautiful scenic backdrop. I loved the small town feel that the environment radiated and all of the vast greenery. I could almost smell the fresh air. It reminded me of when I used to live in Oregon.

Anyway, perhaps I'm too picky. I didn't dislike it. It just wasn't as good as I expected it to be.

This movie is horrible! They think they can repetitively say "God's plan" and "God's ways" and call it Christian movie?!?!

The MC are the worst! I was immediately so annoyed by the MFC. Shes rude and just asinine conversation.
The MMC is awful! He uses his wife's death as an excuse to completely check out in life!

Leaving his son to not just lose a mother but also a father! I hated him!

On top of all that its just a boring stupid movie!!

Save your sanity and skip this one!!
So glad I was just running it in the background while I worked and not just giving it my precious free time!
